Default Horrible Framerate on Good System

I've got an AMD Phenom X2 3.0 GHz quad-core, 4GB of RAM and an HD Radeon 5770 (soon to be 6870) and I can't get more than 25 fps out of this game. I know for a fact that I far exceed the system requirements. Any ideas?

According to developers I am CPU limited with a 3.8ghz Q9550, so I guess you are too.
And yeah, in case we are CPU limited, I guess the minimum and recommanded specs are just a stack of BS.

If your naming Scheme is AMD Phenom II x2 @ 3.0Ghz then you have a dual core, which is most likely hyper-threading 2 virtual cores...I think you may have a Dual-Core. Nevertheless, your specs are MORE than enough to run this game....Just wait for the Patch(s) (Emphasis on PATCHES) and they will optimize the hell out of this game. Also AMD will also be releasing a Hot-fix for this game for Crossfire Systems here is Andrew D's twitter Thread

Phenon II are quad core. His system should run the game at 60fps on high without problem.

omg not all phenoms are quad core

http://www.amd.com/us/products/deskt...phenom-ii.aspx

Which Phenom II x2 Does OP have?

http://shop.amd.com/US/_layouts/shop...D+Phenom+II+X2

Read before you post please.

They have dual core, quad-core, and hexa-core Phenom II CPU's

How I know: AMD Fusion Partner, Computer Village, San Dimas, Tech Manager

My Specs:

AMD Pheom II X6 1090T (nataS)
Gigabyte 790XTA-UD4
4GB DDR3 Kingston HyperX 1600 CL9
2 6850's (1 XFX Black edition, 1 Asus DirectCU Edition)
Windows 7 Professional x64

Run on High with 1 Card = 27-80fps very sporatic
Run on High With CF Enabled = 15-28 FPS

Run On Medium With 1 Card = 30-83 FPS
Run on medium With CF = Same 15-28FPS

ATI HD5870 1Gb vcard, overclocked
Intel Core2 Quad Q9300 2.50Ghz CPU, overclocked to 3Ghz
8Gb of DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, overclocked

30FPS when I'm looking at nothing, 20 FPS average.

No amount of tweaking changes it either, lowest, same FPS, ultra, same FPS.
The optimization in this game is bull****.

Its the game limiting your cpu for some reason and not sending any information to your gpu, thus creating crappy fps

best thing you can do is press ` (tilde) and type stat perfdump. this will create a log in your documents folder that you can post here in a sticky at the top of these support forums the devs will look at it. just try to give them as much info as possible.

What kinda usage are you getting? I have a 920@3.8 and i get once core/thread in the 60-70% range and the rest dwindle from 30-0%. The Q9550 sports some older architecture, but its the Unreal engine and you have 3.8ghz to use on it...I highly doubt you're CPU limited.

bump, same problem...

Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GH
Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus
Intel X-25-M 120GB SSD (RO2 is on this)
4GB RAM
Win 7 Ultimate
EVGA GTX-4601GB SC X2 in SLI

Maybe 30fps, if I am lucky. (EVERYTHING on low @1920X1200!!!1)

Default Have you tried...

Have you tried the remedies on this post? It really did wonders for my performance, and the game looks much better to.

Game is apparently just horrible designed for AMD processors. My Phenom 2 quad core gets random choppy fps on most maps. It's at least playable for me. Though far from smooth an enjoyable as it should be for a system that exceeds recommended.
