TW-I flying the flag for PC gaming!

Tripwire Interactive i just wanted to express my gratitude for keeping the essence of what is so good about PC gaming going with this game.

I'm not going to write a long rambling post explaining what i mean... many will understand, a lot won't.

(Personally this game has filled a great niche for me, as a sim gamer where games take hours this is a perfect addition to my entertainment collection. Can play for 20 minutes or 2 hours and have a blast.)

i'm with the OP, even though there's some adjustments that need to be made to performance and realism settings, RO2 is fantastic. TWI put alot of thought into the game and it can only get better from here.

I agree. But "flying the flag for PC gaming?" I'm not so sure about that.

As i said, many wont understand.

I'm not saying the game is perfect or the best game ever, but true PC games are far and few these days.

(I'd have a guess that the many of the folk who think the game is 'broke' think so because the their stats don't update, comical.)

srsly though I have played on a 40-something server today and survived through 2 rounds of territory on Spartanovka and I was always right in the front in the capzones.

You just have to learn to play xD

To put it into perspective... i just drank a £20 bottle of wine, same price as the game cost me.. tomorrow all i'll have to show for it is a empty bottle & I expect i'll be feeling a little rough around the edges..however I'm sure I'll be playing this on and off for several years...nuff said.

Absolutely agree with OP, I bought a new rig with pretty much the best parts you can buy in anticipation for a AAA gaming release season, only to come to the realisation that most of the games these days aren't even optimised for PC and are just ports of their console equivalents. In fact the only 2 games that my PC has been able to take advantage of are Crysis 2 and RO2.....I really hope that companies will cater more for the PC gamers but it's looking less and less likely . Thank-you TWI for making an amazing game with delicious eye candy, keep flying that flag!

In all honesty, I think stats have, in some ways, ruined FPS's in general... Why would people camp if they couldn't show off their K/D ratios to people, with the hope it will make them popular?

I enjoy having stats, but I prefer it when only I can see my stats, because it means people have no way of showing them off... Hopefully meaning they play the game as intended rather than to try and get as many good stats as possible...

Maybe TWI were trying to encourage proper gameplay because people have nothing to lose

But yeah, it's a great game. Flawed (for now) but great. More than happy with the purchase, especially if make sure it is properly fixed soon enough...

Yeah it's an other WW2 FPS but it's PC exclusive and I have not seen one as fun as this one for a long time.
