Default Should I re-install after each update?

After each update, should I be un-installing and re-installing the game? If so, how? (I bought it on steam)

No, your game will update automatically as you have seen. And that's it, you can continue playing. No need to un-install or re-install.

He doesn't even have to delete this. Where are you getting this crap from?

Steam updates automatically. All your files remain intact and you can just relaunch your game and play normally after each update. No need to reinstall or "delete files"

Steams there to patch your game for you so you don't have to go to some website to patch the game. Would you uninstall lets say game you own on disc to then reinstall and patch it? Nope. (not intended to offend)

I've seen a few people on the forums, saying they do it. Also, the beta does not appear in steam anymore, but there is still files of it left. Can I get rid of this without it affecting the game?
