Default Can Not Start ANYTHING!

Just installed the lasted patch and now I can't even start the game. At the title screen, I get an error message that rogame.exe has encountered a problem and must close. Bingo, I am back to the desktop. Before this last update, after the update before that, I was only able to place Grain Elevator. All other games gave me the same error message and CTD.
Guys, seems to me that each update takes us backwards. Before any update, I could play Fallen Heroes and Apartments with no problems and with great frame rates....but now.
Help me here

Every time I start the game, i just get "rogame.exe has stopped working."

Haven't had any problems prior to this latest update. :/

No problems here, try reinstalling the game, and look in the Support section and make a thread.

Where? I've run the redistributable file and tried launching it out of steam, no change.

Swampy, try this. On the steam interface, right click RO2 and go to properties, then click on verify integrity of game cache. When i did this, steam downloaded a missing file, after that it fixed the error for me.

My game freezes up on start up, also tried verifying the cache, but that didn't work for me.

Thanks, but I am not sure I follow your instructions. When I right click on RO2, there is no verify integrity of game cache for me to click on. I think I am not doing something. Can you clarify?
Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, you also have to select local files after that, you'll find that option under there.

I'm not on my computer that has Steam, but if I remember correctly, in your Steam Library window, right-click on RO2 and select properties. A new window should pop up and in one of the tabs there's a spot to click to verify your integrity.

That got it. I can now enter RO2, but on most of the new maps I am getting a error saying video driver problem, then crash to safe-mode color then to a totally black screen and a computer freeze.
Can you give me more of your insight on how to fix these new maps?
Thanks in advance.

You gave the answer on your question.

Try to install once more the videodriver for your card.

When you deïnstall the driver use this program in safe mode
after that install a new driver.

Unfortunately, Guru3D has been discontinued and is no longer available from this site. Another suggestion perhaps?
