Tournament opened on Monday 14th of November
After the delays of the last few weeks we are now happy to announce that we will finally be starting the first round of the tournament. It's been a long and frustrating wait for both ourselves and all those wanting to participate, but now we are ready to push the "GO" button and get this tournament rolling.

Throughout the coming weeks the tournament will burst into life and we want to take this opportunity to wish good luck to all participating clans. We hope that you and your clan-members will enjoy yourselves whilst playing through the rounds. We will do everything we can to make this a great tournament for you all!


The draw
Now comes the interesting bit..Of course we will not able to start without announcing who will play who. The draw for the "Blitzkrieg" round matches has been randomly chosen to decide what clans will fight it out against each other. The winners of these matches will progress to the next round of this tournament and will be one step closer to the big prize of $8000. Well, without holding you off for any longer, here we go:

I played euro-american competition for almost a year near the end of the first game. 50/50 works, half on american server half on euro server. It can work if it has to.

Because Asia has too high latencies for us to play with you guys competitively. Plus the timezone differences are way too hard.

Huh? You're going to have teams from two different contintents play each other? Did I read that right? If you're going to do a tournament, do it right. Have one tournament for USA and one for Europe. You shouldn't have them compete against each other, that's just pointless based on locations.

nope, I've taken part in cross continent competitions on a high level, and while it takes a little adapting, it works quite well. So i say go on with it.

What we have are 2 divisions, 1 division existing out of 16 European clans and 1 division out of 16 Clans from the United States. The matches are only held within their own division, eventually you will get a winner of the division and those 2 clans (1 from EU and 1 from USA) will fight a match in both a EU and USA server.

Oh well I guess most clans are too small to have more than that right now. Guess I'll have to stick with IC for larger competitive battles.

Our clan (~{W|L}~War Lions) is very interested in joining this tournament, though we do have some questions:
- When will the tournament be?
- How many clan members can join? (team size)
- What are the conditions/requirements to join this tournament?

We searched for this info on the links provided in the first post, but nothing was found. We hope someone can answer them.
