1st Rifle Division - Russian Realism Unit

The 1st Rifle Division is a recently established Realism Unit for Red Orchestra 2: HOS with a strong emphasise on realism, maturity, unity, and above all else, fun. We are formed from a small group of veterans from different walks of WW2 Online Shooters, and even real life military experience. We take our role as a Realism Unit relatively seriously, and use a Chain of Command as well as a Structured Company Setup. Our rank structure is based on a typical British ranking system, the reason for this is down to our own accord within the unit, and so that other new members can understand things easier. Our main core of players are EU based, (mostly from the UK) but we have recently taken in an influx of NA players.

History:

The Soviet 1st Rifle Division was an infantry division of the Soviet Union's Red Army, first established in 1918, and finally disbanded in the mid 1950s. Over the course of thirty years it was reformed four or possibly five times. First and Second Formations of the division became the basis for the 1st Guards Rifle Division.

It was reformed for the third time on 13 March 1942 at Kuibyshev (though a second source says June 1942 was also a possibility). After completion of training the Division was transferred to the 5th Reserve Army. Assigned to 63rd Army from August to November 1942, and fought at Stalingrad. It became the 58th Guards Rifle Division on 31 December 1942.

Requirement:

• All applicants must be aged 16+ or older
• Display a high level of maturity
• A working Microphone
• Speak fluent English
• A good sense of activity

All players must fill out an application upon enlisting to the unit in order to make sure that they are up to scratch with our
expectations and criteria. The application process is relatively simple, but the practical training is quite demanding. This allows
us to use the 'Quality not Quantity' measures to ensure our unit homes the finest batch of members.

Although we are a serious unit with serious principles we do not and will not forget out main reason for playing and that is to provide a fun and mature gaming enviroment for like minded players as well as the occasional banter! As a member of The 1st Rifle Division you will be tested with your ability to lead, follow, and communicate.

They're not FULL names, if they were full it would include their patriotic name i.e Lyosha Alexeyovich Nemtsov.
