Default Game Menu bugs

FIXED ARE IN BLACK

In any menu with scroll-down, the top tabs function poorly when scrolled down.
Replicate: Scroll to the bottom of a menu then try mousing over a top tab

On the "Achievement" menu in "profile" , the mouse wheel only works when cursor is on the right side of menu.
Replicate: Place cursor as it appears in this screen shot attempt to scroll with mouse wheel.

When dragging "sliders" to adjust settings, player must keep mouse cursor targeted on them. Most programs keep a hold of the slider until user releases mouse button (stops dragging).
Replicate: While dragging a slider, move cursor slightly out of slider area

Esc doesn't back out of:
Multiplayer, Single Player, Single Player: Mission Select, Overhead Map

Replicate: Hit esc on any of these menus.

Server Details displayed on browser during mouse-over, stick around for 1 second. Clunky
Replicate: Mouse over a server name for details, then move cursor off of it quickly

Double-click does not confirm selections on:
Campaign select, Role Select, Respawn select (user friendly to have selection confirm with double or even single click as opposed to clicking desired option and moving cursor to "select" in lower right corner)

The tips displayed as levels load cycle through too fast for casual reading and cognition

Esc key doesn't exit "chat bubble". (user friendly to have a quick way to cancel typed message with "esc" and get back to playing)

No 1366x768 as a resolution choice under 16x9

Scrolling with mouse wheel is ultra slow on "choose a squad" menu
Replicate: Enter "choose a squad" in "role select" and try the mousewheel.

Mousing over options in Multi-Player Options brings up redundant tooltip. Clunky

Profile stats "Statistics overview" doesn't go away when other tabs like "class profile"
Replicate: During gameplay, hit esc and choose "profile and achievements". Then hit any tab other than "statistics overview"

On Spawn menu, the white cursor is invisable in white areas. (use red cursor or give it black borders?)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/greenle...50/?tab=public

Gold arrow indicating "self" on Overhead Map does not pop out. (use red one like RO:OF?)

I will add or subtract to this list any bugs reported or fixed dealing with the games menus.

p.s. the menus in this game look AMAZING! Best Unreal 3 engine game yet!!

good point Kosigan! Using the dev console to do this is strange.

I'm wondering if I should keep this updated or just report future UI bugs individually.

Some of those are hardly genuine bugs... just because Esc doesn't make said menus go away doesn't mean it's a bug. It's your muscle memory working against you. =p

Well they may not be bugs, but sleek user interface is very important. You want people who play your game to have an easy time navigating the menus. Poor menus can ruin the overall experience or even turn first time players away.

Tripwire has done a great job visually and logically with the menus in keeping them simple and understandable. The UR3 engine is a bit unforgiving in the UI department.
