Default Bug with Stug-sights

First, big thanks to Tripwire for making such a great game!

Did a search but couldn't find any previous posts about this. This has only happened to me on Bondarevo using the Stug, but it's pretty frequent and I've perhaps encountered this 10 times or so. I have a low ping <80 so I don't think it's an lag-issue. What happens is that I turn the sights of the Stug towards an enemy and when I fire the Shell goes off, way off target. The deviation would be about 2 meters if aiming at a target 10 meters away... Kind of annoying.

Yes I have noticed this as well, and only with the Stug. The only way i've been able to fix it is by jumping out and then back in again.

Good hint Darkseed I'll test it!

I had the same problem!
Great when the target is only 50m away and starts to turn around after the first shot! Then also the second shot only hits a wall!! And the third and then I'm dead!
And right this happens only with the STUG!

This seem to always affect me in a Stug, regardless of map. The way it feels is as if the sight have a wider horisontal axis than the gun itself. If we had a Coaz mg we could at least make sure we're not in this off-set zone before we fired, but right now I make damn sure to stay away from the edges of my sights horisontal movement when firing.

Default Aiming/shooting in Stug issue

Encountered that bug several times from now :

Sometimes, when aiming then firing in the Stug, the shell isn't going straight where I aimed, but it's going quite left or right from the little triangle in the aiming sight. This happening mostly when the gun is oriented left or right, not much when straight.
Have anyone seen this before?

Its not an bug/issue if you are shooting under <100m
Sights correct up farther.

He's talking about shots going left/right, not over/undershooting.

But maybe you are too, can't quite tell.

The shell going left ot right (like 10 to 20° deflection form center of gunsight), not up or down.

This is a bug. It happens on both the StuG and the SU-76. If move gun to max left or right and fire. The shell flies in a path different then where you are aiming. Quite a bit different. Move the aim point from the extreme position and then the gun and sites line up. I can't believe that both guns had the same design flaw in real life

its definetly a bug, in the stug it seems that when i aim to right it shoots 300 miles to the left, as it is now the stug is completly useless.

Havent found any misssighting in the su76 yet but it has way too much armor. VERY heavily armored on the top i would say, it had a light tank chassis from t-60 or t-70, not at all as it is now.

It happens with me occasionally as well, but not all the time, as I cannot get a full reproduction. I believe it's been reported already, however.

Same problems here, but only in the stug for me tho' TBF I don't ever use the SU-76 cos it just seems like cheating atm.

Default Back & Forth

It seems to me that this happens if a part of the StuG chassis or the barrel itself is in contact with a hard vertical surface.

At any rate, the worst thing you can do is try to use Kentucky windage to correct the problem. Move forward or backward a couple of meters and get your shot off!
