Ok, people just don't seem to be getting the message, so:
Valve does not set the prices on Steam - they are entirely up to the publishers of the games. Some chose to convert $1--->£1--->1 EUR. We do not. So, here is a worked example of Steam pricing for RO2 we MIGHT do for Europe (dependent on exchange rates over the next few weeks):
CoDBLOPS - 40.57/26.45 GBP/32.50 EUR CoDMW3 - 40.57 GBP/56.99 EUR CoDMW2 - 39.99 GBP/39.45 EUR Actually, those examples really don't help ... lol. So, I could see us doing: 39.99 USD - 34.99 EUR - 29.99 GBP. But I could be quite wrong - we'll also talk to the retail distributors before we set the final price in each territory! |

+1 I would like to play on day 1 but if the price on steam in Aus is $50 more I'll get it from UK and that takes 4 days. In past I payed premium for games to play day 1 but I'm getting sick of companies ripping off Aussies and New Zealanders. It looks like TWI is doing right with pricing and unless there is Collectors edition I'll get it via steam

Even 39.99 is beyond reasonable in US dollars.

Yeah, I was actually kind of surprised by that, I was expecting $50 (which for HoS, seems perfectly reasonable). More money to buy RO2 expansions!

Hopefully so if there are drastic changes, but Tripwire has been all about the free content updates. (At least, was the case with the first RO)

I was expecting $50 to. $40 is better for me though. Makes it easier to buy proper expansions if there will be any. |

QE2 coming in the UK. The pound will be trashed. You'll be giving it away at £29 quid.

WANT!
Any words on special editions? Or the recent scandals with pre-order bonuses of other games discouraging that stuff?

I actually can't remember what regional pricing Steam can handle. Pretty sure it does USD, GBP, EUR and maybe now RUB. I think (but I need to check) it can do the USD price differently for different regions as well - I'll check!
