Default Stalker Prototype/Kidnapper Specimen

This Idea is alittle wierd but hear me out (and of course this would pobably be ment for a mutator we dont want to mess with the balance of the game which is mostly fine)

No backstory idea or anything (those are easy enough to make up) ill just get into description

Basicly ive been picturing a Modified/supercharged Stalker she can do everything the normal stalker can do but

she teleports, not very far maybe 5-10 feet at a time (this part can maybe be cheated by just making her 100% invisible with making her immune to damage for a second or two and disabling attack till it ends) allowing her to close distances even better and not just get caught up in the same meat grinder every other specimen does.

But here is the interesting part, she will have a target priority

- player under 15% health (or whatever 1 hit kill would be for her)
-Medics/commandos (this part i dont know for sure which would be higher)
-commando/medic (only 1 per spot but see above)
-demos
-sharps
-nearest

with her teleport she will basicly be able to bypass the "front line" classes and with her having target priorities she has potential to do far more damage
"oh look the stalker just went after the full health/armor guy instead of me when im almost dead lucky me"

Okay here is the part that people might balk at and isnt a requirment but

the Kidnapper's Teleport has a chance to malfunction at 50% health and again at 25% health (chance would be dependant on difficulty/# of kidnappers that would normaly spawn so if only 1 or 2 will spawn in a given wave then it would be a higher chance of happening then if this is a specimen you see 10-12 of per wave)

If it does and she happens to be in attacking range her AND the player will both be teleported to a random location on the map (safest would proably be for each map to have preset "teleport" locations but if fully random could be programed safely that works too, If going with Set locations id say for any map that DOESNT have one set, the teleport moves the player to the trader farthest away from the group

now if people want to be sadistic about it for maps with drop damage areas (office for example) she could have a chance to teleport them out the window this one i dont realy have my heart set on but i must say the rage it would inspire would be worth being splatted a few times myself.

Commandos of course would still be the standard early detection (except during teleporting jumps)

this would be a hazard to both run and gun playstyle and camping style, less for run and gun because if victim is already moving chances of them being nearby for a teleport malfunction are lower but if they run head first into one.....

sounds interesting.
I'd like to see it as a greylisted mut though first, not a new specimen

I'd like to see Demo higher on her priority list than Commando. The Commando is the anti-stalker so wouldn't it be slightly suicide for her to charge one?
A stalker getting in the face of a Demo and blocking his shots or what have you sounds like more of an effective role.

Can't say I'm entirely on-board with the kidnapping concept; I'm not condemning it but I guess I'd need to have it a bit more defined. The concept of possibly having a key damage-dealer on your team suddenly vanish to who-knows-where might take a bit of salesmanship, if you know what I mean...

The teleporting dynamic is, of course, well-developed within UT2004, so I'm guessing it might not be splitting the atom to bolt that on inside KF. I'd opt for a longer "jump" than just 10 feet; maybe 3-4 times that, (9 ~ 12m). I'd have Ms. Stalker become briefly visible just before, and after, each jump. So, one would, almost at once, see and yet not see, these beauties closing on you very rapidly. That effect was in some spooky movie I recall seeing many years ago; can't recall the title, but it was pretty creepy. Ms. S. desperately needs a little something to make her a bit more creepy, 'cause currently, IMO, she amounts to little more than an annoyance in comparison to the rest of her family.

from wiki:

Quote:
In criminal law, kidnapping is the taking away or transportation of a person against the person's will, usually to hold the person in false imprisonment, a confinement without legal authority.
... so no. We don't want TWI to get into any trouble. I still want to play KF!
