BTW, anyone have any good setups for the G13. I have tried search, but it says that the word is too short so it is not searched.

Thanks in advance.

MtnMan, I suck at BF3 and COD and other first person shooters because all the other players do is run around and jump - totally unrealistic. I want a game where that activity is penalized, by poor aiming ability, being out of breath, and making lots of noise. Like I said, I hope I found it with this game. Thanks for the offer of help, just may take you up on it!

Thanks for the welcome!

Mike

Mike:A couple important pointers:

Get to know your controls/remap to suit you.Give the training a quick go/look.

Always apologize when you accidently TK someone(It happens to everyone)
When Tked always type in "np"(No problem) to forgive the TK. Regardless if they apologize or not. When you forgive the TK it is erased from there total TK's.(server kicks player ofter a certain # of tk are reached)

Give the tactics section/threads a review. There's lots of great info there from Game Vets n others.
This thread is for individual tactics very useful:
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=76819

Never stand in the open to take aim/scratch ur nuts/check map/etc,,
If you do, Your a dead man in a second or less.

Think about your surroundings/situation awareness.
Push Push with caution to get to the cap, never remain stationary for more than 2-3 shots if possible.
Remain mobile, Team work,Team work.

When in game n unsure of map stick with a hero class/rifle/SL/like a Tic to a Dog.
They usually know whats going on, usually. Get a mic going if you can.
Communications is needed for good Team Work.

Stick with it in spite of difficulties at times/perseverence pays. Before long 30-50hrs, you will be the one giving the heads up to the new meat...

Cheers...

Just thought I'd pop by as I am often found browsing the forums. I am sort of new to Red Orchestra, love the game, wanted a more realistic shooter, and I have been interested in history since I played Rome: Total War ages back

Hey fellow Heroes!
I've just joined the forum and the game, but I hope I will stick around for some more time (and in fact don't see a reason not to!).

I've been playing Company of Heroes for a while and been quite active at gamereplays.org.

Other than Red Orchestra 2 I'm not bit on Multiplayer-shooters. I've liked Battlefield 1942, though, but that was some years ago...

I reside in Germany, so maybe we see each other in game! Looking forward to it!

Cheers!

Thought I'd register to the forums, not something I normally do when it comes to gaming. Sort of new to the whole RO2 scene, have been playing for a few hours all together, but I must admit I am impressed! The game is amazing and the community more than friendly and helpful, so what the heck!

It has been a while since I played any online FPS games, the original CoD being the latest years and years back. This game is really something different! I will see you on the battlefield (though for a while at least I am sure you will scope me first )

If it turns out more than Okay, you could enter into the mapping competition.

Hi, the names Daz and I live in the sunny UK, lol.

Until recently I've always been a xbox360 gamer but got myself a modest gaming pc. Ivybridge i5, 4gb ram and MSI GTX 560ti twin frozr III.

Looking for a more realistic fps experience, got bored of BF3 and the closest we get to a realistic shooter was OF : Dragons Rising. Which I did enjoy in Co op. So purchased Red Orchestra 2, just waiting for Mr postman to deliver. Haven't got a mic yet but I'm a team player so just shout and I will do my best. Please realise that I'm new to a mouse and keyboard so expect a few mistakes. My tag is the same as my user name here, on steam, 360 etc.

Catch you online soon.

welcome mate, plenty of UK players on ro2, me included. Im sure you'll enjoy it, now is about the best time to get this game with it playing smoothly and new content on its way. I'd recommend playing some of the custom maps - eg univermag, coldsteel etc as they are excellent although i guess the stock maps will still be new to you. Enjoy!

Welcome! if you do join a clan be sure they offer the type of environment that suits you, i.e. some clans can be more laid back than others, some require that you go thorugh probabtion - "boot camp" and turn up for "training", others dont, so choose carefully.
And dont get me started on petty clan politics
