I really like playing the big custom tank only maps for the old RO. With the new tanking system coming there is maybe a chance to make a Tank only Game/addon. Its just a lot of fun to drive the tanks and fight with a good balance of action ( Reload faster ^^ , hitting the fire button ten times a secon ) , fear ( crossing open landscape under enemy fire) and tactics ( angle the tank, hide behind tress / house , flank the enemy ) .

I guess it would make a lot of fun to co tank with some friends against massive wave of ai t34 ^^ in a co singleplayer campaing.

Or like the good old Armored Fist commanding a 4 tank squad or one tank missions.

I think RO1 is the only tank game out there at the moment so why not make the new RO 2 a full tank game.
Mutliplayer could be Batlefield stile with capuring objectives / hold them.
With special objectives that aid you radio so you could see your allied tanks on the map or a watchtower that will spot enemy tanks in a certain area , artillery point which aids artillery fire , railyards could at faster resuply in tanks, airfields airsupport , and so on

Maybe somekind of team deathmatch with tanks from both sides like the russian brwoser tank game - in this scenario you will gain experience when you fight to buy new tanks an upgrade your tanks. Like a roleplaygame with tanks <:

RO2 will ship with 1 Tank-only Map and several Combined Arms Maps.

Good idea,we need a couple more tanks and tank only maps, but it would need a modder to do it.

Most of the good large tank maps were all community made for RO. Actually many of them were out for a long time before TWI made Kriovi and released it as a demo of the newer 4KM max view distance ( as opposed to only 1KM ).

Same as you I am eagerly awaiting large massive armoured battles.
