Haven't seen this in practice, but it sounds brilliant. The respawn waiting time is usually so short anyway that you don't really have time to get bored.

I couldn't really get the fade effect to work because if you clicked the mouse button, the fade effect would get stopped and you could view your surrounding from third person. I then tried to make it so if you clicked the mouse the fade effect happened immediately but if you clicked the buttons fast enough you could still somehow kill the fade effect (not sure how as I couldn't ever figure out why it was getting cancelled). I had to settle for an immediate black out which works fine.
My next mutator will probably be another enhancement to the HUD. I'd like to increase the friendly tag point of view and range a little bit. It's sometime very aggravating to be looking at a player and be able to see him clearly yet his tag won't ever popup.
