Default tunnel wars

the Japanese had many tunnel defenses it would be nice for us to be able to fight in these tunnels small tunnels big tunnels it would be epic to fight in them

We might get tunnels in Iwo Jima, but I don't want to see any tunnels without flamethrower.

Sounds like a great idea if you ask me.

It's not like tunnels are impossible to make in UDK, and the Japanese did have tunnels AFAIK so why not, right?

That engine can't handle it comment always makes me want to rip the heads of cute, fluffy bunnies in front of school children or the ignorant/uninformed person posting it. Anyone else feel the same?

Digdug implemented tunneling very well, it should be easy to implement it in Rising Storm.

gonna need satchel charges, WP grenades, trip wires maybe?
Before the flamethrower was fielded, all sorts of improvised molotovs and generally incindiary devices were used to root out the enemy.

Thanks a lot for your input, MR, you have a lot of enthusiasm for the USMC, it's clear, and your input with the pictures is welcome.

Please bear in mind, however, that we are trying to make a balanced MP (mostly) game here and are not really short of ideas regarding ways that the US can have technical superiority in terms of weapons etc.

If I'm correct, the Rising Storm team needs more Japanese stuff, based on that post up thar. Then agian, who am I to speak?

I do like the idea however, tunnels. As long as there's cover. This ain't the 18th century, and as such I expect some cover to use. Implement Flamethrowers: It makes it unneeded to throw all your nades as soon as you tell there are enemies ahead waiting for you.

Some tunnels within a map similar to how RO:Ost had sewers in Fallen Heroes and Leningrad would be awesome to battle through especially with the flamethrower.

That'll be extremely lethal I imagine in those tight spaces.
