What a shame.. Dutchies going conservative. Say bye-bye to your tourism industry. Tulips and windmills won't do it.

Hmm... I'm trying to write a little something here... I'm looking to talk about love/crushes/friendships etc in expressions alike to "so close yet so far" and "so wrong and yet so right." I've thought of more today but my friend, Mr. Jack Daniels made me forget it all. Any help?

Update on my pain front:

Yesterday, the "muscle fever" started to get bearable, now giving room to the countless bruises and scratches I got from climbing in those trees to hurt...
So it was propably the sensible thing to do to help friends moving in in their new flat. I spent yesterday afternoon hauling furniture.

Today, I'm mostly immobile. I had trouble turning the steering wheel because of the limited range of shoulder movement.

And even more worryingly, I seem to have become a whiny SOB. Poor me.

Rattus you whiny SOB

I recently started being active again - not played squash or done any real exercise for a few months, played an hours worth of squash, did some weights and a run - aching like a mother***** for a few days now.

Also I hate cycling in the wind. Can't help but curse at it and get funny looks from people...

He's done exactly the same thing to me. I would say he wasted hours of my time but I reckon that show's pretty good

Edit: Great, now I have the theme song stuck in my head, thanks

of the 8 years I cycled to school every day, in the rain, snow, storm, wind, etc. Having the wind in my face was far the worst. Sure arriving at school soaking wet sucks but at least that dries up. Arriving at school late and getting a warning or detention for it because I had the wind in my face is something else. When I graduated and followed an education 12 km away I cycled to it every day too for a year. One day when cycling home it was raining really bad, a ****load of rain was pouring out of the sky. After half an hour of cycling in it I realized I was so soaking wet I couldn't soak up any more rain. So I started to laugh because after all the **** that fell on me it didn't matter anymore, I won. To arrive home after cycling for 40 min in weather you wouldn't send your dog in feels good. Keeps a man strong. Also one time I cycled in a storm with wind up to 120km/h. Had to go through some trees that were fallen over but I had to stop halfway because I couldn't keep my bike straight.

Then I got a car and now I rarely cycle.

If you really want to feel pain, try water skiing after a 20 year layoff. Run the slalom course like you used to, then try to get into the boat.....ain't gonna happen.....

Well now.

Just got my hours cut at work. They've decided that, since they have all the factory equipment up and running, they no longer need someone there constantly to give them all the parts and purchasing support they needed when they were getting new machines operational.

Anyway, they've cut me back to one day per week - Friday - during which they want me to do just OSHA stuff.

This is fine by me, really. I'll just make sure that the OSHA inspectors show up on Thursday, when things are going to be at their most ****ed up, before I can get in on Friday to fix them. I give it two weeks before the company gets shut down. Maybe just one week. Hell, maybe by this Friday.

eh, I ain't sweating it really. These guys are on the ragged edge of getting gangraped by about 6 gov't agencies, and they don't even realize it. If anyone told them, they wouldn't even believe it.

I was already looking for a new job anyway.
