On a less angsty note, I finished college! Not finished as in "it's that time of the year, so y'all pack up and go home" but "I did it!" I'm also preparing for an interview tommorow to get onto a games design course that starts on September.

Meet some new girls and/or get in a relationship. Even if it's just superficial, you'll at least feel more alive (for some time). It's as simple as that really, and not to hard to achieve either. If your life pretty much blows atm you have nothing to lose, so feel free to take risks.

Now its time to get a job or get a hobby that you are passionate about.
Otherwise, find something that requires you to exert yourself so that you are exhausted when you get home. Plant a flower or vegetable garden for your mother. Get off your ***. Problem solved.

Floyd speaks the truth. Find something to be passionate about or obsess over.

@gibby
i had those phases in my life too (23 years cough)
mostly between big changes, where i started something new (new job etc)
but after a month or some weeks you get used to your new life.
(btw mapping for ro helped me over those phases )

@Gibby

Start an Empire: Total War campaign.

It takes attention for extended periods of time. Total War games are IMO really helpful with those things.

Only problem with that is that if you get really wrapped up in the story, then you finish the book or the series you can feel a sort of let-down that can lead right back into depression.

It doesn't go quite that far for me, but I do definitely get a sense of 'well ****, what am I supposed to do now?' when I finish reading something long. I just finished the currently available volumes of Song of Ice and Fire last night, and definitely had a little bit of ... perhaps ennui is the right word. None of the other books that I had available really sounded interesting.

Started Pride and Prejudice and Zombies this morning, though.

Oh god yes, I've had this quite often Especcially if it's a dramatic book with a dramatic ending.

But yeah imo the best thing against "bad phases" is to keep yourself busy. If you're busy you have no time to think about how crappy your live may be at the moment. Plus you just always have to keep in mind that better times will come, always works for me.

Girlfriend, modern hairstyles, fashion, "trimming," and skin care take a LOT of maintenance after a long day of disciplining children.

I prefer men. And yeah, I'm meeting someone pretty soon. LDRs suck, but they happen when you live in the middle of nowhere and bump into another person on a forum you frequent, who has a similar story to you and happens to be real handsome, clever and such a sweetheart.

Yes, I have been trying actually! Trouble is, living in an isolated area and having not much money at all (I am looking for a job) and having no-one to spend time with but yourself, it can be a little bit difficult at times trying to find stuff that I really wanna do. So far I'm thinking of attending an air rifle club. Relatively cheap, fun, new people, time well spent and I already have the gear.
