Magnets going wrong

I'm at the part where you have to rotate the arms with magnets on either side, and when I get the ball over to the button, the blue aura ceases but the magnet won't let go of the ball, I've managed to replicate this twice.

same thing happened to me. not sure if it was a bug or me doing it wrongly though, I was basically running in circles trying my luck since that mummy was chasing me. I finally got it after like 10 mins with 3 hp left

Just stand on the blue trigger until the arm started spinning and push the mummy away with the hammer. Got through with 100hp on first try (since it's just 1 mummy that can be pushed away easily).

OT: Why is there Hourences advertisement in some mazes? Does not contribute to the atmosphere.
