Default Was there ever a Swedish team/clan/unit in RO1?

Well, anyone know if there was one?

If not, I'm looking forward to fight for the honor of the yellow cross in the sky for the "first time" in RO ^^ =).

there were multiple if I remember well. You can check this url and see what swedish clans existed at one point and their match history in roladder, although i need to remind you that 99% of these teams are dead.

IcM had some too. In general there were enough swedish players but they mostly joined english speaking clans.

So the Swedes just truly played in the spirit of the WWII. No own team, just volunteers in the foreign armies...they were obviously aiming to hc realism...

But seriously, hopefully HoS will make something happen in Sweden too.

Yea, it was the same in Insurgency too =). Enough swedes to have an all-swedish team, but spread out. It's not really bad in any way, other than it's nice to have a team people can join that are not good enough in english . Spread out nationalities should have a positive effect on inter-clan/team/unit relations though, at least in my experience =).

Well anyway, unless ROHOS will be bad (which I doubt ^^) I'm sure a big number of my clanmates from Insurgency will team up in ROHOS, so beware!

Hehe yea, hopefully ROHOS will be playable on high ping =). Quite funny to see so many familiar faces (well, names ^^) from other games =).

Why high ping? ROOST was mostly a european game.

Becuase it is fun to play against people from another continent. And might be to some degree valuable depending on the size of the competitive scene. I'm not a douche so I would prefer if RO2 was enjoyable for more than just Europeans ^^.

Well RO had a disproportionally large clanning scene for the amount it sold, there are still regular ladder matches to this very day. see www.roladder.net

I know about the roladder.........

Well as Mr. Louson are from New Zeeland, he is in a bigger need of playable high ping than I am. I don't see why you are arguing against the wish of RO2 being playable on high ping, you are just making a fool of yourself =(.

And as you pointed out, the roladder. The roladder would today not be the same if it was unplayable when mixing Americans and Europans. So what are you really arguing about again?

You don't think I realize that by myself and find it quite irrelevant? I just said I wanted to be able to play compatitively against my friend from New Zeeland, something though that requires it to work good enough on high ping. Which I assume and hope it will. It was just a comment.

Oh well, no point in taking this discussion further ^^.
