Because it's actually a good game? The negativism towards this game is mostly because of EA's "services", not the actual game.

EDIT: Btw the "über patch" for Playstation 3 is live, still no date for Xbox and PC

Battlelog has been updated as well, and a reddit user delved into the code and pulled some hidden e-sports functions. Looks like there will be matches between platoons, spectator mode will be added, there will be a live-scoreboard in Battlelog and you'll be able to edit your loadout directly in Battlelog.

Unfortunately I got bored of BF3 quite fast. Friends moved to SWTOR and I got back to ArmA 2 community and have massive fun playing there.

So apparently, now you can buy yourself through the unlocks. This may be OK in F2P games, as it is their only income, but not in a full prized game IMO.

PC patch going live tomorrow(29th). I'm mostly waiting too see how well the new commorose + mini map combo is going to work out. Knowing DICE, I'm not holding my breath tbh.

Same. I like alot of the changes but I'm afraid that air will be very OP with this next patch. Many of the things that keep helicopters especially in check, such as Javelins + SOFLAM, will be getting some nasty nerfs ... I really don't want BF3 to end up like BF2 with constant aircraft rape.

Stingers/Iglas are getting buffed though, and air vehicles can be destroyed with one tank/RPG shot. It may offset laser nerfs more than enough.

I dont think those buffs will be enough. It's very hard to hit aircraft with tank/RPG, its usually 9 out of 10 times a miss versus good pilots.

The stinger buffs are kindof useless when you consider the much shorter range they get together with the below radar and flarespam-buff for aircraft/helicopters.

It's already impossible pre-patch to hit helicopters that are hovering right very high above you and you cant reach them with your stinger where the heligunner can spot and kill you. Add even less stingerrange on top of that and it's easier for the helicopterpilots to rape (considering there are no enemy jets around).

It seems many or all AA missiles explode ON the target but do no damage, where no flares or ECM jammer is used.

This applies for heatseekers of jet, heli and stingers versus jets.
Pretty major, gamebreaking bug here. Baffles me that this got ever passed through the QA.

The MAV elevator for noobs is still working. Yeah they cant use it when they stand still but if they go prone on it its working like before. Great job EA.... piece of **** devs.

Haven't tried it yet, though from reading other forums it looks like the tanks are weaker (), the engineer repair torch is now useless, the Stinger/Igla is useless, and the AA guns are far too inaccurate.

Looks like they worsened everything that needed to be buffed. And if we ever get a patch it will probably be 3-5 months down the line if not more.

Anyone else suffering a pretty huge fps decrease after the new patch?
I always had solid fps with no hitching or stuttering, and now it's just unplayable really.
