Some mutator questions

Hi im new here and i have some questions about mutator. I understand that a mutated weapon for exempel gives it higher dmg for exemple but i dont know if it replaces another weapon or comes up as a whole new weapon at the trader with out replacing another weapon? then i also wonder if VAC doesnt count it as cheating? and my final question: how do i start using a mutated item? im very thankfull if someone could be kind and answer my questions.

Mutators don't just mutate or mod weapons and items and mod their damage or specs, they can load game types, replace actors with another actor, delete specific actors, etc. To load a mutator go to solo or host game and go to the mutators tab next to the maplist or servertab and select your desired mutator and click or double click it, it shud appear on the box to rite, now start the game on any map. Note: perks will be disabled unless it is whitelisted.

I see.. so i dont need to download the mutated item my self from the internet it already in the game, did i get it right?

No, you have to download it from the internet if you want to use the mutator in game. However most servers will have the mutator running on their server and when you join it will simply download everything from that server so you can play.
