Default Paint.Net: Alternative to retail programs.

I have been using a program called Paint.Net for quite a while. Since I lost my CD for Photoshopand I don't feel like using a torrent to dl a cracked version, I looked for an alternative program to use that was free and legit.

I came across this little nifty program. When you first install it, it is like an upgraded MSPaint program with some extra features that Photoshop would have. However, it has loads of plugins that you can download off the program's forums. I can say it is worth download. It is simple to use, has much potential for a free program and is a great substitute for Photoshop if can't afford it, or if you are just cheap and or lazy.

I know this is not directly KF related, however, it will be of good use for 2d art whether it be skinning, texture creation, or for simple things like forum signatures.

I use it too with a huge plug-in pack. About the only real problem I have with it is that brushes always end sharp (aside from antialiasing).

If you're looking for a free photoshop alternative you should take a look at The Gimp. It's closer to Photoshop than Paint.NET is, although not quite as easy to use.
