i was wondering if it would be whitelist acceptable to utterly remove the ability to use and/or buy certain weapons at the shops for example i removed the ability to use and/or buy the m14ebr from my level is that whitelist approved??
i'm quite frankly tired of mapping around cheap guns and making it too hard or unfair for the other perks(ultimatly ruining alot of fun gameplay aspecs) so if it is acceptable for whitelist then for now till the ballance is worked out.. you will not be able use and/or buy the m14ebr, m72 grenade launcher, or the m32grenade launcher.... maybe even the aa-12 and scar as well if it suits my purpose in my future maps sorry sharpshooter and demo folks i just don't like working around your guns. but don't worry if i am able to do this then you'll still be able to use your crossbows, pipebombs, and laws

sweetness then it will implemented on my next level cuz thats what was basically holding it back, having to ballanced for those who use the epic kill tier 3 guns. at least until the ballanceing is implemented

I removed a bunch of weapons on the "classic edition" of KF-crystal-lake.
Although this works great in solo or on a listen server, when used on dedicated servers players are able to buy ANY weapons that they want to from the trader. The map is whitelisted but didn't have the desired effect. |

oh? bummer that means i'm going to have to code a multiplayer weapon replacement/removal actor
how did you do it to your? did you just modify the trader shop?

You can set what weps are available and what weps are not at the trader
This option is under the KFLevelRules Actor Btw Falidell, theres alot of custom stuff you can do without coding, you just have to be creative. Last edited by Fel; 06-13-2010 at 01:19 PM. |

In KFLevelRules>Shop>ItemForSale
Removed the unwanted weapons from the list. This is the only place I can find where there is any info about what weapons can be bought. Hope someone figures a way to do this. |

yea that confirms it i will have to code it.. i'll just make a sub class of the kflevelrules and add the replication code for the shop items so it works on dedicated servers. now after i do that... hmmm mylevel or seperate file...... i'm thinking seperate file
@fel i know but that only works in solo because it doesn't send the info to everyone else other then client so this will actually have to be coded
