YouTube - KillingFloor GoreLevel=0 GamePlay Foundry
Watch it @ Youtube in HD, the changes are more apparent. C:/program files/steam/steamapps/common/killingfloor/system/killingfloor.ini Change GoreLevel=2 to GoreLevel=0 I actually think the broken necks look even worse than no head at all.... Last edited by anthracy; 03-22-2010 at 09:52 PM. |

I think they can just import it from Amazon anyway.

Surely the Germans could just set the gore level from 0 to 2.

I'm sure the lower gore will be hardcoded on their version of the game. TWI wouldn't be that careless.

Oh wow, you can't see if an enemy "burns" anymore at all now.
That "mist" stuff is nearly invisible. Playing firebug is more pointless than ever. Also bloats will never explode, they just fall over. So killing bloats is not fun at all anymore. On top of that, their heads don't seem to be at an angle when it's "off" so expect a lot of german players trying to shoot headless bloats. And as soon as an enemy hits the ground, it disappears. Cause that is less violent. Yeah... The snapped neck heads actually do look kinda cool. Maybe it could be implemented as a headshot variation into the actual game. The "red mist" if you use explosives actually turned into specimens flying through the air all the time which actually is more fun to look at since every single crawler will be sent flying. However looks like that means you have no visual indication if you "gib" an enemy anymore at all. Also sirens and stalkers don't make their typical death screams anymore? Come on guys! I'm glad I'm not stuck with that ^^ Last edited by 9_6; 03-22-2010 at 10:52 AM. |

The head is tilted to the side most of the time, but apparently not always -- at least hitting the head that isn't really there still counts as a body shot. ![]() Agreed as well. It might be too much to ask for an extra .ini setting for this, but I personally enjoy sending zeds flying way more than gibbing them. And I think it's pretty obvious what looks cooler in slow motion. |

the broken neck does seem worse the no head, i guess in theres no blood its a-ok. lol
the broken neck animation would be cool if some kind of bludgeon weapon was added, and the rag doll effects on explosions are pretty entertaining especially in slow motion. and it rly is confusing when u decap a bloat or fp and arent sure if the head is still there. thanks for the informative video! |
