I'm just wondering, is it realistic for snipers in RO to be always going for (low priority) moving targets? First, it'd be pretty difficult to plug a moving target especially at long ranges, and second, with the low chance of hitting (a low priority target), would that even be worth compromising your position?

Depends on the map.
Close urban warfare, generally, no. I'll wait and hang back, and look for targets of opportunity, or people that can cause general harm and disarray in my own team. Machine gunners, enemy snipers and tank crews come first, and then I worry about sub-machine gunners, especially on the Russian side since those PPD's can sometimes be just as annoying as a DP-28. On the larger maps, sure, I'll take out people that are running around in the open, but then again, I'm also comfortable enough with the sniper rifles to be fairly certain of a kill even when against a running target. |
