Default Kf-Zoo

I've been studying the Killing Floor SDK over the past week. JustFilth's maps inspiered me to start mapping... I've decided to start working on my first map for KF. It will not be released any time soon. I'm going to perfect this map and I'm going to put a lot of pride in this map. I'm in no rush. And I'll feel annoyed if it scrappy. Even if it is my first map.

As the name states.... it will take place in a Zoo in London. I'm going to be adding many custom static meshes and textures. That alone may take a few months. I'm also planning to make a few songs for the trader (Drone tracks...stuff liek Sunn O)))...it seems it would fit well) I'm in school at the moment and will post more info later. Also, feel free to give me ideas and stuff.

Also, I may change the name. I'm not sure if there already is a map named KF-Zoo. I didn't see one on the whitelist...so yeah. It's also NOT going to be based on the ZSL London Zoo.

It's always great to have a new mapper on board. I like your idea for a Zoo and I hope that it plays well.

Here's a link to some useful tutorials, Anything you don't understand just search or ask on these forums.

Yeah maps definately take alot of time, I think my latest one took around 200hours. Either way it was mostly finished after 1 month and I then spent another month playtesting and doing the odd fix.

The best advice I can give to anyone is make a basic layout and play it lots to see if there's anything you can change or improve before you get too deep into the maps development and then regret not being able to fit something in later on.

Thanks... I'll take your advice.
I read the tutorials before I even launched the SDK for the first time. I even printed them out!

Also I'm just gonna throw in that I've enjoyed your maps c:

I don't know if I'd use that at all. Maybe like one. But cattle are common and are usually not in zoo's
I wanna have lots of dead, exotic animals :3c

Hi Voltali,

"JustFilth's maps inspiered me" cant say much about this apart from thank you kindly.

"I'm in no rush" this my friend is the winning answer, take a tip from me, taking your time will only make the process go faster for you, produce a better end product and allow time for the technical side of things to truly sink in, just wish I had your patience when I started

Regarding your concept it seem quite original and done whole heartedly your bound to have a winner.

Good Luck buddy

Filthy.

I'm sorry everyone. This will have to be put on-hold until next Friday.

I have midterms coming up, so I will not be working at all on the map until they pass.

Also there is going to be a small story behind this. I'm gonna post the info next week.
