Race from A to B. Players must battle a continuous wave of specimens that never stop. Inorder to stay alive and get new weapons, the trader will at some random time during the wave open her doors. You and your squad must get to the trader to lock yourselves into her trade room and wait for all the specimen to die out. When your squad is inside her room you'll have to make sure no specimen is inside, and once there is none the door will slam shut and the specimens will starve on the outside. You will buy from the trader and the doors will open 10 seconds before wave starts, and once you are out of the room you must wait for when the trader opens her door in her next hide out.

New Hud effects, such as first person for specimen team. You are able to see your own hands and feet and see as the specimen sees but warning the fleshpound needs skill to control him when in rage.

New seeing effect on both humans and specimen. An effect on the eyes to allow to appear like you are seeing through a persons eyes. The specimen eye view is smaller than the humans.

Players can see their team mates through walls, while specimen players can see both humans and their team mates through walls.

You recent perk you'd use in other games will be your perk for specimen versus. Inorder to change your perk you must either go to single player and change it without a mutator enabled or online to change it in a perk enabled server. (It is like this since twi would not whitelist this mut)

Everyone will have the same perk level. The perks levels will either raise or lower due to game difficulty

What has changed:
Added some hud feed back for damaging, moved the broadcast of specimen damaging a player out of speech box to somewhere else,
Balanced specimen damages,
balanced specimen spawning more, more chance of being a stalker,siren,husk,scrake,fleshpound, the gorefast and crawler dominated the spawning,
Patriarch entrance looks cooler with smoke,
fun new cutscene,
specimen can see other specimen through wall,
specimen can spawn if they are a distance away even if they aren't behind a wall,
Player getting stuck issue resolved,
GoreFast,Scrake,Patriarch,Fleshpound strafing disabled.
if there are two specimens or less then AI specimens are enabled.
Flashlight only seen by specimen for seeing the dark (sorry it shows better).

This gametype/mutator allows players to enjoy a 6vs6 team like gameplay that
consists of 6 specially cloned specimens and 6 police officials facing goals of
wiping out each other's race.
The Specimens goal is to kill every police officer.
The Officers goal is to survive through all waves and destroy the specimens'
creator.

if dedicated server doesn't work get the 2k4menus.utx file from the games textures
put it in the dedicated server's textures folder.

Nice, glad to have you back. The new gameplay mode "rushing from a-b" along with the trader doors changing from the typical "Wave" model will definitely make this a little more fun

Can't wait to get this up and running.

Sounds alot like l4d versus. I will certainly be checking this out when it gets posted.

P.S. Doesn't TWI have a list whereby perks can be used but not increased.

EDIT-Will there be a server running this mod on or soon after release?

Awesome glad to see this isn't dead. It looks promising, with these feature this will truly be better than L4D. Though IMO it already is

Anthracy's sv are DC based, i believe.

Why dont you start a listening sv of your own, if there are demand?

It fails to show up on the public browser, maybe because I cant seem to get my ports open. My laptop doesnt recognize my router or something :S

I do have a server hosted elsewhere tho, but Id prefer keeping it as a regular gamemode.

Specimenation coming by soo.

Its doing great, the bots in single player follow you if you are human, and they go to trader when she calls for some loving.

The gameplay has changed alot while testing it. You feel you are really holding up a defense against specimens as you wait for trader to open her door.

You will not know where she is only when she opens her doors she'll say where she is. I chose this type of play because it seemed more logical and realistic since the trader moves around after shopping is over, I don't think its realistic to know in a instant where she is right after you just saw her.
It feels better running towards the trader with doors open rather than waiting for wave over then rushing as fast as you can, you can instead casually go there while specimen on your back and get in the room shoot the zeds out and lock yourselves away for 40 seconds, then when wave is over you go back out with the awaiting horde outside.

The specimens never stop comming. When you lock yourselves in the trader room you will find wandering creatures howling outside waiting for some big guns.

When your squad is killed, you have 3 tries to stay alive if you have finished all your tries, the team will then changeover and you will have to be the other team, and the other team be human.

Gameplay length I would go on a 4 wave server for 45 mins - 1 hr.

I am thinking of points for a person to use special combos or maybe like roll the dice a person raises to 100 points and they are allowed to use random combo to see what they get, maybe combos such as invisibility where the person is invisible to the specimens and they don't see you.

What else could I think of... Objectives?

Seriously though, sounds great. The only probelm I see is that bloats could just hover outside the trader and sick up on people as soon as they emerge...

What's the idea in terms of AI for the Zombies vs Humans when you are playing alone, but want to be a zombie?
