The COD games bore me but I have to admit they are very pretty - I absolutely love the look on the WetWork map.

As for crysis I really don't see the beauty, it's got pretty good terrain but when it comes to actual structures it sucks eggs through a mile long multi-coloured straw.

True but what they did with the environment like the trees and grass is amazing. Maybe crysis 2 on the cryengine 3 will be a playable game eh? Anyone who says MW2 looks bad can't tell the difference between doom and crysis textures and sees no quality difference between them. Dunno why Crysis gets so much hate, the single player for both games were awesome. Great graphics + play the game how you want (rambo, stealth, strategic) and had a good enough story to keep you wanting to progress. I shake my head at anyone who just calls it a benchmark.

Post useful things don't just post how your epic new computer came in and you run the game on high settings. Do something useful. Great to hear about the graphics on high end, as I am running medium settings on a laptop. I too think the graphics of KF hold up quite nicely even on medium settings.

one word. DUH. the engine they used is about 5 years older then the engines made to make those games. TWI didn't make KF with the intention of it to compare looks wise to the newest games coming out so why are you comparing it to those. OF COURSE it doesn't look as good as crysis!

Killing Floor DOES have sub-par graphics by modern standards, I've been playing games on max settings for years.

That said, graphics make not a game. As far as I'm concerned the graphics are adequate, if that is combined with good gameplay I overlook graphics altogether. Hell I picked up Deus Ex from my pile of games the other day for another go through it and you won't catch me complaining about even those graphics.

/agree. i still play old games like ut99 and San Andreas. both are still great games despite the fact that compared to newer games they look like dog poop.

the newest generation of gamers is just spoiled by the graphics in the newest games coming out that they don't even know what a good game is.

If you consider games like GoW, MW2 or god forbid Halo to be the best games you've ever played, chances are you're one of these people.

I blame the 360 for being the creator of many such players as these.
