Default Monstrous Atrocities

I know this is my first post, but hopefully will not be my last. I decided to spend about five minutes writing a short story about the plague of Horzine's monstrosities spreading throughout the world, not just in England. It takes place in modern New York, or what's left of it, and is based around a soldier who is in the same armor as Wilkes from the game. It's not very long, obviously due to the time put into it, but if it gets good reviews, I'll continue the writing to an epic story of epic...ness.

Enjoy!
-------------------------
"Monstrous Atrocities"
Chaper 1: What Hope Remains, is long forgotton.

His plated armor shifted slightly as he surveyed the barren wasteland. Towers rang overhead as the hordes of hellish creatures dined on their prey. Shifting eyes danced wildly within their sockets, concealed within his kevlar husk. Sabatons traversed the decimated streets, crushing both bone and asphalt under the sheer might of the heel. The sun began to wane, and the once lively streets lost all remaining signs of civilization. The Mk. 7 armor suit's visor engaged, illuminating such barren streets with an emerald hew, allowing Lieutenant Reinault to observe the desolate, empty shells which were once called home. Firmly grasped within his experience hands, a Beretta 92FS, safety disengaged, was ready to obliterate anything that stood within it's path. Such weapon bore a recently cleaned two-tone slide, with a shoddy knife-etching within the metal adjacent to the safety, which reads "Mary". This man, containing a judgement of relentless jurisdiction, entered an intersection, which once bore the businesses of many, and the laughter of the young. Heightened hearing picked up the rustling of an over-turned vehicle. Gasoline pooled under the driver side door, and a splash of crimson adorned the windshield. An outrstretched gauntlet passed over such crimson with ease. As without viscosity, the blood dripped from his unnerving hand, racing Earthward.

[Edit #1 Addendum]: Any signs of a corpse, cadaver, or mangled remnants of a body were not to be found, yet the blood continued to drip and dilute the pooling gasoline. The golden star completed it's retreat behind the far mountains, concealing itself for the time being, awaiting it's reawakening. A soft cry resounded from within the masonry of a nearby subway entrance, reverberating through the nightfallen city, sparking a hope of survival within Reinault's heart. All investigatory thoughts were banished from his mind, as his focus was redirected to the new discovery. The soft crying continued, calming the weary soldier's senses. His dominant foot stepped forward, followed by the opposite, grinding concrete beneath the treads of his weighted, kevlar boots. The crafted, metal hand railing was bent awkwardly in a series of four joints, which formed a makeshift bottle-neck for any incoming crowd. Filed to blades, the outer edges of the railing were drenched in time-dried crimson. Traversing down the emerald stairway, the cries of those who passed seemed to amplify. Flourescent lights hung above, forming a canopy of horror, as the fixtures were adorned of entrails of the populace who could not escape. Caustiously, and inadubibly, the Beretta was holstered.

[Edit #2 Addenum]: With the flinch of his right shoulder, the sling, as black as the crows that were feasting happily, carried it's contents to the bearer's grip. Colored a custom royal blue digital camouflage, the G36C now rests within his hands. A knife etching, similar to the Beretta's, was within this weapon. As unintelligible as the first, this one reads "Alexander". The rifle bore a standard ACOG scope, and a miscolored magazine wrapped in baige duct tape, with a hastily scribbled reading of "Hallowed Ground". The continued crying, as soft as his wife's last words, grew in volume as he continued his trek. A small, near insignificant glow radiated from a derailed tram coach. Within such a abyss, Reinault thought himself blinded, and quickly disabled the emerald overlay of his goggles. Steadily held within his right hand, the rifle lead in the darkness. Outstretched, firmly grasping the door handle, his left hand parted the walls of the survivor's utopia. Cracked sticks lay about the floor, permeating a soft, amber glow thoughtout the car. Empty casings were piled in one corner, all the sweet contents licked clean by the hungry. On the opposite end of the cave, a body sits dormant. The immense crying of past pain, torment, anguish, loss, and sorrow were all but extinguished. Reaching forth, he placed his left, gauntleted hand on the woman's opposite, bare shoulder. Despite the layers of cotton, kevlar, iron, and steel surrounding his body, Reinault felt an absolute chill. "Alexander" was drawn closer to his chest, index on the kill switch. As entranced, the entity arose, keeping her back to the dumbfounded soldier. Immediately as his left arm retracted, the amber sticks of divinity went out, as if cued. Abyssmal evening changed to hellish night, as the last remaining light source gave it's dying breath. Derived from his spine, the soldier felt as cold as the inexistant woman that once stood afore him. The crying arose once more, this time more maniacal than sympathetic. Within a mere second, the entrance to the abyssmal, cavernous coach was sealed shut.

[Edit #3 Addendum]: Years of intense training to conquer the human fault of fear faltered without question, and the stalwart soldier began to quake, originating from his feet, and coursing the muscled body to the sweat-stained hairs on the back of his neck. Hands and fingers remained resolute, keeping the rifle well-steadied, with the bored barrel facing the direction of it's hidden foe. The omnipotent being's maniacal cries shifted to those of laughter, reverberating a deranged echo throughout the cave, and down the subway's seemingly endless tunnels of bloodshed, despair, and the inaudible cries of the damned. As if acting as a beacon, the woman's siren attracted the hordes of creatures that bathed the City of Lights, with blood. Hands clawed at the sealed tram car, peeling iron sheets and bolts from under yellow claws, once resembling nails. As instantly as this beckoning abruptly stopped, as did the monstrous clawing cease. Index engaged the trigger, bringing the internal hammer to the back of the round, causing a combustion of immense heat, propelling the round forward with unimaginable might. The split second the trigger was pulled, the entire tram car was illuminated with an amber glow. The woman standing before the soldier lacked gems within her sockets, and was bound within a series of blackened and bloodied straps. Her jaw hung low, as it was exhausted from eating the corpses of her hunt. Thousands of eyes surrounded the windows, observing their prey helplessly fall victim to the alluring songs of the abomidable woman. The "Hallowed Ground" bullet punctured her skull, crunching bone and muscle with ease. As the projectile continued it's gruesome task, a second explosion occured within itself, causing this "siren's" head to be swept right off her shoulders, and into the abyssmal oblivion that beckoned it's targets toward. The amber illumination subsided, and the cave's pitch black features returned. Both human and husk, realizing what had happened, reacted accordingly. The creatures of the damned, once more, continued clawing their way to satisfying their hunger. Reinault remained frozen within a stalwart posture, awaiting what horrors were to come.

[Edit #4 Addendum]: Murmurs of pain echoed through his head, images of the initial bloodshed of this apocalypse still freshly stale within his mind. The beat of a heart not beating, the serenity of a voice not speaking, all derived from a family not living, sparks a fury within the exhausted soldier. Deep azure eyes, dilated from the darkness of the tunnels, fixated upon the sealed door. Time itself seemed to falter, as his heart beat slowed to a near stop. Beads of sweat slowly swelled to their maximum size and slid down his neck like a falling bird. The unblinking eyes outside of the toppled coach continued their deathly stare, as the claws they bore continued to tear through metal, destroying the outer casing of the walls, and causing their hands to bleed profusely. Never ceasing, the moans of anguish continued, devoid of the previous crying. Giving an exaggerated, long exhalation, Reinault stared at the door, losing all hope of survival, and nearly feeling death's cold grasp around his mournful heart. The remaining light seemed to grow dim, nearly sealing the soldier's fate with each grueling second that passes. Hundreds of soulless husks continue their condemning assault. Devoid of any heavenly reflection of light, the tunnel reverberated the increasing growls of the hungry. Unrelenting, bloodied hands began to pry open the door as the soldier peered up to the heavens, containing the remnants of the two he held dearest. A mangled arm reached through, possibly sending Reinault to the ones he loves. A tinge coursed through his body, causing him to shiver quickly and uncontrollably. All thoughts escaping his mind, he grinned with such a devious look as to strike fear into the hearts of trained killers, and demons alike. Charging into the fray, his hands gripped tightly upon the grip, trigger, and foregrip, index pulling the metallic kill switch of the rifle relentlessly and without caution, as his plated armor advanced forth into oblivion.

[Edit #5 Addendum]: Chapter 2: Serinity within a prosperous Haven.
Tiny, innocent feet traveresed the verdant fields of glistening grass. Laughter from such vessels rang like a horn, an alerting and soothing sound. Magnificent oak trees swayed within the gentle breeze of the warm afternoon day, leaves and brances caressed by the uplifting spirits of greater powers. Avians soared over head, singing songs of joy and peace, bodies adorned of artistic plumage, displaying the soft glows of blue and purple. The birds melted away, leaving nothing behind but echoes, screams, and dust-ridden skeletons. Laughter quickly changed to blood-curling, horrifying screams, burdening the souls of those who hear. Oaks began to singe and twitch, engulfed within the taint of the purifying flames, which spread to the vast fields, turning a hope of life into a tainted scar, a remorseful sign of death and decay. What remained of the warm breeze turned to the relentless winds of sand, dust, and immense heat, searing all that it touched. The storm's winds brushed against her cheek, sewing the fires of death upon her, but to no avail. Such a heavenly dream dispersed as quickly as itwas summoned, returning the weary woman to the plane of reality. Towering over the barren landscape, obsidian eyes surveyed what landscape lay before her. Adorned of a dust-ridden robe, reaching her enduring shins, protected her from the piercing winds. This dry, barren wasteland held what civilzation remains. Not a soul to be found within the town, but neighboring homes, garades, and sheds remained erect, as if abandoned, missing the one factor to build a neighborhood. Mangum boots traversed the streets of her old home town, seeing illusions of the people she once knew. Dirt, stone, rock, and bone crunched under the heel of the treads, conquering all paths and trails within her way. Swings upon the sets swayed gently within the deathly winds, paining the woman's heart with every high pitched creek the rusted chains produced upon the bars. Dust-ridden windows peered out upon the wasteland utopia. Strapped to her right thigh, a black matte Desert Eagle rest comfortably within it's holster. Slung heavily upon her back, a two-toned silver and black M16A2 rifle lay ready. No magazine bore it's place, and the safety switch was no where to be found. The entirety of this magnificent weapon was polished to the point of visually not having endured a single battle. Echoes, whispers, murmurs, and screams haunted her, and weighed heavily upon her soul. Months of traveling didn't seem to phase her, as the miles that she fell only made her stronger. Korvolia's wrath of dust and decay had wrapped it's unyielding grasp around the small town of Maridia. Wthin Sheila's eyes, her birth place was torn asunder in an eternal strife between physical horros and emotional devstation. Weary legs carried her tormented body through the demolished lands of the West to the mangled and decimated town in which she now stood. A glisten upon the sky caught her blackened diamons, gliding through the morbid atmosphere with ease, and determination. Her trek continued, following the trail of this omniscient entity. It fluttered about effortlessly through the air, carried by an elegance she had never before see.

Please post if you liked it so far or not, and if it does get good reviews, I'll continue it. I had previously stated the setting of the story, due to the length of how it is in it's current state. Once lengthened, such won't be given immediately.

I've written two other works, one still in progress, and the other finished. Hopefully this will spark to being something great.

Please disregard gramatical errors, and spelling errors, as it was mostly a rush job. The finished, or modifed, product will be much, much more professional.

Thank you, and see you in game!

Alrighty. I'll continue writing it a bit more this week, and weekend. Hopefully I can have a small part complete by the end of this Sunday, giving a good taste of what is to come. Thanks for the replies ;-).

I just thought of this:
(not mine, just a copypaste of the most awesome fan fiction ever written)

Killing Floor: Repercussions of Evil

John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were Specimens in the lab. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway. John was a Horzine security guard for fourteen years. When he was young he saw the labs and he said to dad "I want to work in the labs daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY SPECIMENS"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the biotics lab of the Horzine Corporation he knew there were specimens.
"This is Joson" the radio crackered. "You must fight the specimens!"
So John gotted his M32 and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US" said the specimens
"One in the pipe" said the patriarch and he fired the rocket missiles. John grenaded at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the specimens" he shouted
The radio said "No, John. You are the specimens"
And then John was a zombie.

Sorry for double post, but this post is to both serve as a bump, and also indicate the third part of the story's release.

What will happen next? What do you want to happen?

Post with comments! I'll continue writing

Lovin' the updates. Keep it up! Your attention to detail is very good.

You should sign up for Deviantart (if you haven't already - its free anyways xD) and post it there. That way more people can read it, and I can fave it.

Been sick the past two days, so I haven't been writing very much... I think I've only written one more sentence, and I'm not fully content with it. So, be patient and more additions will come. Thanks for all the positive feed back! I'll try and have another piece posted by tomorrow afternoon.

This is my second attempt at a modern fictional story, and only my first attempt at writing a horror-esque, for that matter. Each installment will be left open ended, keeping the reader begging for more =P. I like to give the aspects that deserve to be beautiful, such beauty. Obviously Reinault isn't beautiful, but the weapons and such he uses purges the lands of this "plague", thus obtaining a bit more attention to detain.

The candy wrappers in the tram car signified the survival of a family, only for a certain time, which is why they're deeply defined, but to the point of still being vague.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... Enough rambling for now. I'll try and put some more into it tonight, if I feel up to it.

Thanks for the replies ;-). Comments greatly appreciated!

Addendum #4 is out! I'm sorry for such a long, long wait, but with the lack of actual readers, my inspiration has dropped dramatically. I'll keep writing, but will write more if people actually want it .

Hope you all enjoy it!

I'm not actually dead, just haven't been totally with it for a while.
