3D & Animation Meshes import without textures?

I have downloaded static meshes and loaded into max, export .ase but when I load into unreal there are no materials/textures

it just applies default texture. This is very new to me and any help on what I'm screwing up would be appreciated

When you downloaded the meshes you only downloaded the shape/object. You need to download the texture also. The texture is not stored in the mesh itself. You also need to import its texture into unrealEd then go to static mesh browser and apply the correct texture under "Materials"

Thanks I did download the textures also, but forgot to load them! I suppose that would help, LOL
