I have my ports forwarded like this, am I missing any ports? I mean why won't it show on the list? When I go on my other desktop and look at the lan servers it shows... Anyone got any ideas? These are the ports I got forwarded. I mean people can join if they connect by ip.
Oh I should mention I'm using a pfsense freebsd router. WAN UDP 7707 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 7707 Killing Floor WAN UDP 7708 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 7708 killing floor2 WAN UDP 7717 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 7717 Killing floor 3 WAN TCP 28852 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 28852 Killing Floor server WAN TCP 8075 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 8075 killing floor4 WAN UDP 20560 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 20560 Killing floor5 WAN UDP 28852 192.168.1.118 (ext.: 24.4.45.xx) 28852 More Killing floor Last edited by jigglywiggly; 06-14-2009 at 08:48 PM. |

Have you used the "multihome" startparameter? If yes did you choose the lan ip or the external internet ip. If you have not used it, force the killing floor server to use the external ip. By not forcing it uses the ip of its network device and that is your lan ip.

well have you checked your ucc output? it will log the result of all your port bindings, if there's an error somewhere you should see it here. check that the main game and query ports are actually binding to 7707-7708, if for whatever reason they don't then the rest will automatically get shifted to match those. check that all the other query ports are also binding properly, if all goes well then ucc will announce your server status at regular intervals through the console while your server is up, the main thing you are looking for here is that 28852 is getting bound and connected to the master server browser.
- steam query port 20560 is udp only, so you can close off tcp there if you want - try opening both 7717 and 7718 for gamespy query ports, I never had a problem getting listed otherwise but I noticed there were problems binding with just 7717 open |
