Downloading Maps You Already Have?

Ok back on when I used to play Unreal the first version, I always used custom maps. Back then my girlfriend would have the maps but it made her download them again. Now fast forward to Killing Floor, she has the maps we use (custom) and has tryed everything from triple checking them, redownloading them and yes they are in the correct folder(s). But everytime she tries to join my server it makes her download them again even though she has them. It's not just her either I have another friend or 2 that has the same issue, all my other friends can get in no problem. So is there anyone who knows why this does this? I need help cause it really is a pain in the *** for them to have to redownload the maps when they already have them. Any fixes, suggestions, anything? Thanks.

Can you clarify, is each map being download again every time you connect or just once?

It's possible the map(s) that you have locally aren't named the same as the ones on the server, or the version is slightly different. If your downloading them from a website and then trying to connect, this could well be the problem.

Also just for future posting reference (this isn't a dig!), it helps if you space out your lines a little, makes it easier to read.

Hi, well it's not me who has to download them everytime but my girlfriend and a couple friends. She has them in the proper folders and everything, but still she has to download them before entering the game everytime, not just once, even though she has them. Pretty sure they all have the same name as the ones being used on the server since I linked her to where I got them from, it's getting really annoying. :/

I'm not sure why it would re-download them every time.

I would try deleting them (or just moving them out of the folder), letting the game download it from the server, then carrying on as normal. If the map is the same as the one on the server, and you already have it, it won't download again.

same problème here :

im playing all the day on the same serveur ,same maps ,
but sometime game download again the same map (played 2 map ago)....

any way to disable this ?
im in holliday here , and looow bandwitch (15/20 k/s)
on some map i dont have time to download map and cant play .....
im not talking about only map , new charactere too ( brute ect ....)
