I would like to see some sort of commander/squad-/fireteam-leader system similar to BF2 as full Roost server has 16 players per side which is roughly 2 squads per side (which in turn could be divided to 3-5 man fire teams).
I think that would help coordinating attacks and promote team work. For exeample leaders could give separate rallypoints for their own squad/fireteam. Commander could give simple enough commands like squad 1 take this objective, squad 2 flank from right. What would be needed? Separate Squad/fireteam voip channel, voicemenu and chat. I don't think the maps support that system very well, the good thing about BF2's squad system is the integration with the "commander" and his RTS style map, and of course his mobile spawn point.
A similar system in ROO would be great if we had 64 player servers, maps large enough to support that, and a greater ability for a commander or greater leader to control the group leaders, who in turn control their group.
