I'm getting this as well, and it seems a lot of other people are too.

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 2403 MHz with 2047MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (8208)

General protection fault!

I have heard and witnessed that this crash is because of the flame thrower. When someone or something gets infront of you, and you set yourself on fire, thats when it happens, not all the time, but it is annoying
