I was wondering why the German soldier's MP40 has the stock folded/closed in the screenshot. You would think it would be open when you are using it.
Will there be a button to open a close the stock when needed? I just don't want this game to become games like CoD where you run around with the stocks closed.

Ah animation for open/folding the stock?
This'd mean two different kinds of melee attack animations. I fairly believe this is too much to ask for. Anyway if you might look at my thread about the MP40 you can see a suggestion for a melee attack with the stock folded and imagine that with the stock not folded. It would hinder you in action. |

Maybe you could swing it out and tuck it back under with the Fix Bayonet key. It's not otherwise used for the MP40 so why not?

Could there be a key command that ties in with the bayonet key that allows you to fold or unfold the MP40's stock ? with the stock folded out you can fire more accurately but with the stock unfolded you can do more damage when doing melee attacks.

Well the only purpose of the folding-unfolding is not melee attack. MP40 being folded would give you more manuevrability in a CQC environment, because it basically turns into a big pistol. When unfolded, you would get a big stability boost for long range shots.
