Hey Guys,
We're currently in the process of adding Steam Stats and Achievements to RO. Unfortunately, we can only allow certain mutators to run along side this new system. So, we want to know which mutators you'd like us to support. Please reply with the specifics of each mutator you'd like us to take a look at supporting in the following format: Name Description(What does it do? What's the actual benefit of running it?) Link to the Page(preferably a link to the download page) Version(so we know what to download...if there's only one version, skip this) Thanks Guys! |

Will servers be able to turn off archievements in case someone wants to try out a new mutator? Or wants to have a fun night?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not really a mutator but since Carpathian crosses is like an add on instead of mod something there might get broken as well. CC adds new weapons vehicles and maps to default ro. http://www.carpathiancrosses.com/ --------------------------------------------------------------- The following mutators are used by www.roladder.net and www.roleague.com Teamready mutator 2.1 by crube waits to start a round till all teams type ready, the default function readies a player up when they select a weapon which aint too handy. 32 player reinforcement mutator 1.0 by walker , in competetitional matches you want all servers to play the same so if 1 team got a 24 player server and the other got a 32 player server you want it to always play the same. Thats why its been decided to keep 32 players as a basis for reinforcements. Since 32 player servers were the most common. ROBlackout mutator 1.0 by Tzefania with code excerpts from crube. Blacks out the screen when dead so during matches you cannot see where enemies are hiding. Used because for quite some people the default fade to black never turns black and remains transparant. The later version of ROHudpackage got additional options that for clanplay were not needed. Kick 16 bit player mutator version 1.0 by tripwire, to kick players that use 16 bit because under certain circumstances you can get a wallhack in ro by using 16 bit. This forces teams to communicate where the enemies are rather than looking at a bar to see howmany are in the capzone. Often used by Axis realism clans and tanking servers. RypeL allows people to watch back demos enabeling things such as wallhacks and wireframe so a suspected cheater can be researched further. Thanks for all the info Zets. Just to let you know and to let others that post on here, we are not allowing mutators that effect the gameplay beyond some reasonable level, or ones that make it easier to achieve certain stats.
For example, we are not allowing Stats and Achievements to run alongside the following mutators from Zets list: Map value modifier - Can speed up spawn times, not allowed ArmoredBeasts 2.08 - Not decided yet, but it seems to make it easier to get a tank kill, which we don't want to allow Machinegun mod - Not sure yet, but if it increases ammo count, then it wont be allowed Santahat mutator - Makes people stand out, too big of a change Grenade mutator - Allowing for more grenades would drastically alter gameplay Bolt only mutator - Loses the class dynamic of RO The rest of the mods listed, however, sound as though they will be allowed to run along side Stats and Achievements. No guarantees on them yet, as we want to load them up and see what they do before fully committing. Keep 'em coming if you've got something to add. BTW: This doesn't mean that servers will not be allowed to run the mods above, it simply means that Stats and Achievements will be disabled on those servers. |

ArmoredBeasts is the best thing that ever came out for tanking in RO , (from a realism point of view) it would be sad to see it unsupported ... and the "Machinegun mod by evilhobo" is also a good mutator , again from a realism point of view

EvilHobo Machine Gun Mod and Armored Beasts are some of the best mutators/mods ever made for RO. Indeed, not supporting a mod that greatly improved upon the stock armor system and another that, among other things, got rid of those Star Wars tracers would be a grave mistake. Hell, if anything AB and EHMG should have been included in patches for RO IMHO.

The purpose of this thread isn't to debate what mutators poeple think make the game better/more realistic/less realistic or whatever. The whole purpose of mutators is to allow poeple to tweak the gameplay to thier hearts content. For our stats and acheivements system, however, we'll only be allowing mutators that don't make drastic changes to core RO gameplay, as that is what we'll be testing/developing the achievements against. Please stay on the topic of "what mutators do servers run, and what do they do", otherwise I'll just start deleting posts.

Without getting into any debate, we've already publicly said before that we don't really agree with many of the changes made to the armor system in AB, and wouldn't integrate it with the core game. Regardless of that, many of the achievements will be based around doing certain things with a tank. In stock RO, that thing they have to do will take a certain amount of skill, in AB it will take a different amount of skill (either more or less). That makes that achievement either much easier, or much harder to get. Thus we can't support any mutator that makes that significant of a change to RO's core gameplay.

They are files for skins of soldiers they come with custom maps.
http://www.red.orchestra.pl/plug.php?e=maps Download Kolno (the version before the latest the latest doesnt have custom skins anymore). Download Kriegstad & Parizerplatz (both latest version) and add those system files only not the mg mod that you didnt feel like then. These maps should bring you a far end. i believe that redorchestra.pl allows you to download those files indivdually as well. At the bottom at system files. That should cover most skins things
