Exclamation auto notice that the gun is ready after reloading!

I remember from the mod that you had the voice command "RELOADED" as a tanker. (to let the driver know you are ready)

But it would be much smarter and practical if this voice command is given AUTOMATICALLY after each reload.

Why? The gunner would know himself when the gun is ready at once while he can spot for other enemy tanks and does not have to concentrate on the reloading sound.
And the driver would know it also.

In fact the reloading would be done by the LOADER, not by the gunner/commander, so the Loader would report when the gun is ready.
-> realistic

If its already done tanks a lot!

Sounds pretty good idea, and yes, also realistic. I hope they would implement that somehow, it would be both realistic and good for gameplay.

Well in the Beta you got an optical Timer which tell you when the Gun is loaded, in RL you could see if the Loader has done his Job, and heared it

Yeah I thought the same til I read. But hey, how about if we add Schwarzenegger as terminator to pop up in screen and say with bad english "YOUR WEAPON IS NOW RE-LOADED" when you reload? And after that, "IŽl be back". [/offtopic]

But yes, IMHO, it is rather good idea as I have said before (no, not that terminator thing).

I agree, that would be very nice.

I wish gamedevelopers would stop cluttering the HUDs with all kinds of useless stuff and realize that the same kind of information or feedback can be given through sound as well. Red Orchestra does this pretty good, but more information on the HUD could be replaced by information coming through audio. The "Gun is loaded!" thing is one of them.

Well the reload timer is part of the Ammo Display (HE or AP) and its not cluttering up the Screen

I know but for a game like Red Orchestra, audio feedback is more immersive and realistic than putting icons on the screen.

Get over it, heh. It works really well. And it doesn't break immersion. And it's really nice to have an idea how close the gun is to being reloaded (especially on tanks like the IS-2 that take forever).

And there is an audio cue: A huge "Clank clank" at the end, that even the driver can here (which is nice, tells me when to stop so my commander can shoot again)

Though an automatic "Geladen" (same in russian) would be nice, perhaps it will come later as added feature...

I think it'd be quite cool if there was actually a postition for the ammunition loader in the tank, and you actually have to actually "use" the ammunition from one side of the tank, then go to the loading shaft thingy and "use" that to put it in.... Doubt that'd be that much fun though lol

If you actually listen to the sound coming from the game theirs a sound just b4 the shell is loaded and its timed perfectly for the driver to hit the breaks and stop so the gunner can shoot straight away.

With all this talk about reload times etc I thought the reloader was a bot and built into the tank?
