Hello all, I just made a little tutorial on how to animate a shoot animation.Doesn't go over rigging, setting up the ref pos. Maybe helps some people or inspires others to get into animating. I use 3ds max and it's preferable you use that for RO modding as I understand. I just used a reference scene of the p38. It's not very detailed so it's expected you know some basics.
It's not amazing, nor entirely realistic but it should get you started.Normally its good to see videos on how the weapon operates but I didn't for this. Just some points, for Shoot Animations you normally parent or link the arms to the weapon, always important you keep the reference pos (initial position) for the end, start. I think RO's p38 animation in 21 frames long and I did this in 30. There are many ways to do it. You can also in the first frame rotate it downwards it all depends on what you think looks good and or realistic I forgot something in the setup - keyframe -2 (or any negative number) to the original position of the finger, and trigger so in frame 8 later on for source time you put in -2. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() now watch the animation feel free to add anything, ask questions Last edited by Rohrmoser; 12-31-2007 at 12:39 AM. |

I might sound stupid but, where can I find a reference scene file to import? As I understand you can't import RO's animations without the files from the Devs.
