well as much as a despise the COD games and the fact this is more of the same with bf2 skins :P doesn't really make me want to jump for joy. However being the open minded gamer that i am i will probs put my hand on the demo and give it a bash. Must be said I have generally enjoyed the COD single player but found the multiplayer to be just quake with ww2 skins and the fact that all the textures a so washed out. There is barely any contrast in game between colours or areas of light and dark.

Quake with ww2 skins describes CoD2 pretty well. Still, I found it to be quite enjoyable in multiplayer if you are playing with the right people. However the singleplayer was so retarded that I couldn't force myself to play more than the russian campaign.

Why is it that CoD games only get singleplayer demos?

Does this one still have the retarded health regeneration bolloc..... or is it something a bit more believable, tbh it looks exactly like cod2 only with more things going boom. Saying that i did enjoy cod2 so i'll give the demo a try but then again it got old fast oh anyone remember the incredable regenerating tank in cod2 i think that was about the time i stopped playing.

I get a massiev performance hit if I enable shadows. And the soldiers don't seem to light up at all. They're just... dark.

Something a bit more believable...like random health packs you absorb through your feet which absorb all wounds?

I liked the regen system. As I play on veteran if I get shot more than once I'll be dead anyway. It's not like you can be Wolverine and charge out there slashing away at enemies.

Could it be that some graphic options are limited in the demo? A few settings I couldn't turn higher than medium(it only showed low and medium).

Anyways, it run's very good(never lower than 35fps, average fps 50+) and looks very good. It's really cool, weapons feel heavier imo(finally). Will definitely buy.
