I was wondering if any of you sound guys new what program people use to edit and digitilize sound.
like this for instance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ0AP126trg Im trying to learn how to create or get existing sounds to have the echo sound, especially like the m249 and explosions in that video. Help Please.

Audacity is an open-source sound recorder/editor application.
I've never used it for anything real, so perhaps someone can comment on how good it really is.
