Default Redirect not working

Code:
Redirect Compressed Files Server
UE servers allow you to host files not included with the game like maps, sounds, textures on a web server for faster downloads for the client. This tool is specifically great for having custom maps on your server.

Option    Value    Description
[IpDrv.HTTPDownload]
RedirectToURL=http://myserver.com/redirect/ (String) Website where files are hosted.
UseCompression=True/False    (Boolean)    Enable/disable compression.
This is what is in the ini

Code:
[IpDrv.HTTPDownload]
RedirectToURL=http://www.bandofbrothers.rogem.net/redorchestra/redirect/
ProxyServerHost=
ProxyServerPort=3128
UseCompression=True
Now when i got to the server it downloads very slow it goes from 0.0 to 0.1 and so on

how to get it fast

i can't seem to connect to your redirect when i paste it in my browser so i'm wondering could the server connect to it?

Next to that make sure that the files in the redirect are compressed (aka uz2 files) otherwise they won't download.

Edit: now i got in

Half the maps aren't in uz2 file extension. You need to compress them.

Search these forums with the term "compression" you should find atleast one post where i explain how to do it.

you can download alot of uz2 files of this site (map files you can get aswell) quite a nice site

http://www.bandofbrothers.rogem.net/...stra/redirect/
I can connect to it, but the maps seem to be a combination of uz2 and standard rom. As Zets mentioned UZ2 are the ones to go for.

Roms can work to if you bring in a file structure Like directories like: Maps / Textures etc on the redirect and inside the ini put use compression to false.

LOL and you'd want to use UNcompressed maps why?
"Oh I hate it when I can download a map too quickly, I think I'll use uncompressed maps and slow the download a bit"

So lets get it straight

all maps on the server MUST be UZ2 to work for downloading

Edit: All maps on the server are now .rom.uz2
Now I cant find the maps on webadmin, they dont come in the list at maps
It used to show the maps there
Restarter server, nothing happend
restarted map, nothing changed

No, the maps on the REDIRECT site must be UZ2, the maps on the SERVER must be ROM.

also make sure you don't just rename the files to blabla.rom.uz2 you must really compress them to it (by using command prompt or a program, or just downloading it)

If you can't compress them , you can always get them at :
http://www.red.orchestra.pl/plug.php...hestra&mtype=d
or maporchestra.

I will have to compress my "self made" map to get it good on the server.
I tryed it with dos from some forum, (the get the ucc.exe from the server and then type a long sentence but that didnt work)
I also tryed the compressor called RC200? and RSC, both didnt work

Ah,
self made maps....steps into corner, makes sign of the cross then draws a protective circle round self.
Not my bag mate, try the design forum, next one down. Any help I could give at self made maps and complications could be written on the back of a postage stamp in crayon...and still have room left on the stamp
If its just a case of the compressor not working, thats possibly a setup thing, I had probs with that too. I use RSC, did it give you an error message of any kind?

self made maps compress thesame as any other map so you can just explain how to do it. (you need ucc.exe and steam.dll for the dos compression to work)

If you have a Windows-Server, and the UZ2-Location is on the same Server as the RO-Server, you can try my UZ2-Compressor (on my homepage --> Downloads --> C200_UZ2Compressor.zip)
