If battlefront couldn't find anything then.. ?
Zeltbahn would be cool i suppose.

Dammit, I'm going to be out of town for two weeks starting Sunday. I won't get to play RO until August 4th.

Excellent! I'm especially glad to see that you had the guts to introduce smoke grenades into the game. If only commanders can have them, they can't be abused too much especially since commanders are supposed to be the brains of the team. (And how is changing the tactical situation "abusing"?)

Great! Perhaps the Commander role is now worth playing!

The new map looks amazing. I can't wait to start rolling those trenches! Let's hope it surpasses even Basovka.

Wehaa. A new patch. Maybe it can squeeze out 5 fps !?
I“m looking forward to the new map. Close combat forest environment... Sweet!

Ah well, thanks Trip Wire! In a time where gamecompanies have to be begged a few month to fix the most important bugs and glitches in their games and still think they do something for their community when they finally do it one week before they release their new booster pack for MONEY! you are nice change of pace.
And all this for a game that is not even fullprized!
Some game companies should seriously consider to imitate you by some sort of neuro-linguistic programming (tm).

AWESOME work, seems that TW puts more work in updating the game's content than the developers of MMORPGs, and for free ^^

Wowee, new Trench map! Those screenies look soo nice with the light coming through the trees and the mossy buildings!

This has made my day! I am very very impressed Tripwire, RO is shaping out to be one of the best value for money games I've ever owned!

hehe, some of you might recognize this map as TestMap1 from the RO test server. It is now known by it's true name.

We have some good test stories on this map too.

I think it was the second game we played on it with smoke. The commanders from both sides decided to smoke the same bunker (it is shown in one of the pics on the front page) at roughly the same time. Now this bunker allready had a few people inside fighting for control.

Within a few seconds, nobody could see anybody else. We could just hear the other side moving around, just as they could hear us. I don't know who started it, but somebody opened fire, and soon the entire bunker was ablaze with everybody opening up with no point of reference except other flashes of fire.

I called it RO's OK Corral (for those who know a bit of western lore)

Man, the smoke looks sooooo great!

I must reiterate what Murphy said... this game is such a value! I've never felt so good about a 25 dollar purchase as I do with Red Orchestra ($75 in my case, lol). We all need to take a second and think to ourselves how fortunate we are for this great title, and even greater dev team, because who knows how many more really nice situations like this we will have in our individual gaming futures.

I'm all smiles right now

If anyone happens to be on the fence with whether or not they want to buy this game... GO BUY IT! DO IT NOW! YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Cheers Tripwire, and Thank You

Hillarious!

That's one of the things I like the most about gaming with a consistant group; the stories and events that were so funny that everyone remembers them!

Heck, just last week we were trying Snowy Forest for the first time as a group and one of our guys was finally getting a chance to try the artillery system ... let's just say that much hillarity ensued!

Lol i clearly remember leading the charge into the smoke PPSH41 at my hip and blindly I just pulled the trigger and sprayed in every direction while spinning in circles smomehow missing every single german within range....and then they all returned fire at the muzzle flashes I was producing and down I went.
