Default Suomi M31 MKb Replacement Mutator

Hello!

This will be my first mod for the game. It will replace the insane MkB42 with a the mighty Suomi M31: A Finnish rifle that was well loved by German troops. I am still a novice and will be learning as I go with this mod, so bear with me!

Here is my first screenie of my WIP model

Spoiler!

Hmm, this seems neat :3 the gun resembles the PPSH and such, are you going to make it with a drum or just a stick? Good luck!

EDIT: Did more research on it. Seems to me like it's slightly heavier, slower firing, and just a tad bit bigger PPSH. There is nothing wrong with that though, it seems really neat :3 best of luck to you.

Plans are just for the stick mag at the moment. Once I really get the ball going, I'll see what I can do.

Have you spoken to the guys working on Karelian Front? (Winter War mod). They might have a completed model or assets to share. Who knows.

I actually haven't, although I would like to see how well I can go on my own. I am an Audio Engineer, and would like to educate myself in other fields.

Heads up, it's a Continuation War mod, not Winter War.

You should contact them, they are often looking for new team members, maybe you could get some good experience there.

To those who point out the resemblance to the PPSh, the Suomi came first, and many say it's the gun that inspired the PPSh to be made. Never knew it was used by the Germans, though.

Soviets did copy the drum magazine from Suomi KP/31 to their PPSH-41, but not the submachinegun itself.

Edit: They were made in Switzerland with a license, and those were used by the Waffen-SS.
