That video has been released in august last year though so thats been pretty much over 7 months now.

Well... We run possibly the only 24/7 server that is devoted to tank maps. We have two good ones right now. We'll have a third as soon as Arrad2 gets re-cooked. We've got a small but dedicated daily following. Might be a pleasant change of pace.

Dont get me wrong Iīve play every single map I dont care who made them, in darkest hour and ost the best maps was made by the community, but people need time to improve them right now they all are beta style!
I think the maps made by twi looking better atm! You wouldnt compare mayayev with iwanberg would you?

It's your opinion , but i have to disagree with the first part of your post. There are custom maps out there right now just as good as official maps, if not better. People are just o lazy to download and try them. I don't want to start an argument about all this.... we've gone over this gazillion times. I think we've beat the horse way too many times already.

I think there are some maps that are quality wise just a good if not even better then twi maps. Coldsteel or Winterwald are both really well polished maps full of eyecandy and I would put Coldsteel probably optic wise over most twi maps.

I wouldn't compare apples and oranges either so I don't think this is a good argument. Every map has its own style and playability. I enjoy both Mamyev and DerIwanBerg for vastly different reasons.

I enjoy them too but its obivious that mayayev looks much better than iwanberg or even winterwald! Lots of trees fly in the air at winterwald for example or you have problems to mantle your mg on some positions! Thats what I mean, I thank god for every custom map and every official one! Back to topic: I think HTs would give mapmakers much more possibillities!

I agree, my current favorite 3 maps are all customs and I love the experience I get by playing them.

Well...someone else said apples to oranges. Mamayev is probably 20 times larger than DerIwanBerg and has a completely different gameplay experience.

Yes. Winterwald has its bugs and faults but I still love it! You can't take that away from me!

On topic, I have decided to join the vehicle band wagon and so I am making a HUGE map. I hope that when I finish we will have some carriers.

Well...I still got help and inspiration in my early days from mappers such as Drecks and Six_Ten. I probably wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't bothered Drecks so often.
