What time do people play?
Just a random question I thought of throwing out there. What time of the day/night do you tend to play the game at? The answers I think have alot to do with how high your ping is, based on whether most people in your time zone share the same habits as you.
For myself, I work nights, so my prime playing time (midnight to 3am) would probably seem late to 9-5ers. Indeed, I tend to find myself playing with Australians a large amount of the time (I'm Ontario based, so this does not bode well for my ping). Interesting to see when other people prefer to play.

Usually between 5pm -10pm weeknights or any time on weekends, every other day.

anytime i have free time to play. day or night.
what does ping have to do with it? with server-side hit detection, i'm not at a disadvantage even if i get spikes to 600 from a download starting.

When i have time.
 Usually gameplay is better at day. At night Teamkillers and Ego-maniacs come out of they holes. So far my expierince. I have no ping problme, wether at night or day

i am West Coast California.
the only servers i see are 100+ pings. I don't believe there's anything close around here.
