You have to see it like this
TWI Assets : You can use them all. Just pick them and spread them in your map. Your own stuff : Import in into your mapfile so stuff like custom textures turn then into material and custom models. |

Ok I see. I just got confused when my map wouldn't open due to some items not being listed under external.

It doesn't load them when you don't use them. (waste of memory)

Ok so I finally found out what you mean by 'your map', there's a folder with your map name inside the external drop down menu that includes all the textures you use. I thought you were talking about a folder outside of the SDK itself. I added the custom trees into there. So everything should be good now yeah? I'll just have to regularly make copies of my save in case this **** happens again.
On a separate note - I seem to have created 2 terrains. Terrain_0 and Terrain_2 and it's a pain in the butt trying to paint over them both as I'm constantly having to switch, it also creates flickering. Could I delete one? If so where would it be located? Simple way :
Select your terrain and press delete. Check which terrain is deleted. If you wanted the other one to be deleted. press undo and check the other terrain ![]() Smart way : Go to top menu ---> Edit --- > find actors in the search box type Terrain. Guess Terr is enough to find it. Then select the one you want to delete. This find actor thing might help with other stuff to. Last edited by Drecks; 02-03-2013 at 09:52 AM. |
