Default Red Orchestra 2 is a Steam Summer Sale Daily Deal

Red Orchestra 2 is now $4.99 for the next 35 hours. If you have been on the fence about grabbing RO 2 or have friends who don't yet have it, now is the perfect time to jump in along with your friends!

We have much in store for RO 2, and the mapping community is working hard to bring some great looking (and playing) maps your way as well! See you on the eastern front!

It's about time! XD
I was worried it wouldn't show up because it was never on a community vote or even a flash deal. It's no wonder you had told me it hasn't been on a daily deal "yet" when I asked about it, lol.

I am not sure if the game is worth the price.. since we only get 1 more map after 1 year.

Well, during and after the summer sale on RO2... players numbers drastically increased. By that I mean:

before summer sale: 300-1500 players during working days and a bit more than 1500 during weekends.

summer sale: 1500 - 2700 players so far.

after summer sale CET timings;

23 July 2012: 700 - 2200
24 July 2012: 600 - 2175 ((late) evenings) - 1928 (around/after midnight)
25 July 2012: 600 - 1000 ((late) afternoon) - 1650 ((late) evenings)
26 July 2012: 500 - 1250 (evenings) - 1500 (around/after midnight)
27 July 2012: 500 - .... - ....

I hope that TI realizes that this means it's the perfect & about time to release a new patch or post a devs blog....

Numbers are declining again? Why you ask? Because playing gets bored after a couple of weeks. Once youv've know all the weapons, all the maps and hideouts and have a general idea of everything there is nothing which still makes you wanna play the game. Only seldomly do I join a server in which there is actually voice chat by the team going on. Along with that there is no competitive scene so no top players which can be seen as examples aka players / teams to beat.

All of this drags RO2 down in it's slump again.
