Yeah, it definitely happens.

Don't worry Mike -- anyone who plays with any regularity including the top-level players that nxsakb and I reminisce about playing and scrimming with, who have since left the game, know that it happens. You are certainly not alone, despite the negativity on this board.

There are a lot of people who like to pretend it doesn't happen or who think their comprehension is so far beyond everyone else's, when really, they can't see past their own nose.

Here's hoping RS makes some improvements on that!

Oh, grow up.
Stop trying to divide those who agree as worthy of an opinion and those who don't obviously don't play. That is garbage if I have ever heard it.

Yeah, I didn't notice it until recently and even then I don't care.
Why? Because it is a rare occurence that I don't drop someone or get dropped -- in short range and long range situations -- with the first few shots which are usually 1-hit KO's anyways.

Don't get me started on negativity.
I call negativity threads pointing out bugs in General Discussion (Instead of Bug Report) and questioning whether the Dev's are listening or not.
I call positivity praise for a feature, a sharing of experience or a thoughtfully discussed opinion. I don't call it a reference to all those "great" top-tier players that quit because they couldn't tolerate small imperfections to recognize the whole picture.

I can see past my nose... can you see past your ego?

As always, if there is any problem, help us track it down and reproduce it. Then we can put more time into fixing it than discussion its existence!

A tremendous amount of whining there... not very productive.

Just letting one of the poster's know that what he's experiencing is not isolated. Get over it.

Don't post in an ignorant manner attempting to raise yourself and the rest of the vets above everyone else.

Yeah, I wouldn't call that productive either... or anything other than rude and pointless.

If you want to let people be aware of a problem, you could have said "I experience the same problem" instead of "Anyone who doesn't agree is obviously full of themselves or don't play".

TraXx and HellsJanitor. More discussion, less drama.

If you guys can't respect each other I would stop now before anyone lands in the hot seat.

Exactly...

So like I was saying, I've definitely experienced that, and I know many competition top-tier players have mentioned it as well. Unfortunately, that seems to be the main reason given when those players are asked why they have not played either since the Scorched Earth Tourney or the ROL WinterCup (among others, of course). Those opinions definitely have merit in that most at that level are quite astute when it comes to detecting hitches in game performance -- that's the only perspective I can speak from.

We'll see if we can't help out the devs by capturing some data -- I think that's the only thing that can really help, other than conjecture.

Also, as initially posted, maybe RS will make some advances where this issue is concerned.
