Don't mistake this for an insult or anything personal please but I find that anyone missing out on testing to expand on the future of this game simply because they have to type in an IP via console is an extremely poor excuse.

By the way, you can always copy the IP and when in game with the console open, type "open" then press Ctrl+V to paste the IP. Hit Enter. Voila.

If I'm not mistaken the command saves in your console library (unless the build was updated I think) and next time you open the console all you have to do is scroll with the up direction key and hit enter once you find it again.

For everyone who is adamant here daily about feedback, I suggest you participate in testing the beta.

agreed! having to open the console is hardly a deal breaker. reminds me of the players that would not participate in the classic beta, but still felt the need to try and discuss it.

If you dont know the IP you have to go find it
it not like when you open the Beta the IP is there

And i Do go on the beta
But i also have almost 2000 hours on RO & DH
I also have 1200 hours on RO2
i also have 100 hours on beta
having roadblocks ,like having to put in the IP and looking up the IP stop people from playing the beta
and i want people to play the beta

Seriously though, if the ONLY issue preventing you from trying beta is the trouble of typing in a IP address, you may have to rethink your attitude in life beyond the world of computer games. And its not like TWI is making the IP into a scavenger hunt , they're announced openly in the Beta testing section along with the scheduled test times.

is this too hard for some people to understand

Pressing a key on a keyboard is never HARD for most people
but if your new and have to spend 20 mins trying to find out how to get into beta it is hard

not like the new guys who don't even know how to work the console and enter an ip address are gonna be downloading that beta and jumping on anyway.
but yes, it should be easier. will it be. no. or they would have done it by now! seems to me they'd prefer people who know thier way around ro2 in the beta.
