Before you go all ape crazy on me I have already gone through all the forums and tried everything i could find to try to fix this but nothing has helped.
I just bough the game and cannot even play it. Every time i attempt to launch it crashes on the splash screen. Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, verified the files, deleted config folders......nothing has gotten me past the stinking splash screen. Does anyone have somthing i could do to fix this bug so i can play the game or did i just donate 20 bucks to TW? |

This happens to me too. I've owned the game for 2 months almost, and have not been able to even move my mouse in the main menu after loading the game. It simply crashes to desktop, and says "rogame.exe has stopped working".
I'd REALLY like to play this game. All tips I've tried so far have not worked. If there are so many people with this issue, why do the PLAYERS answer this question, instead of the DEVELOPERS?! What I'd like is to see the Devs just patch this so NOBODY has to 'tweak' their folders/files in order to play. |

@ the OP, here is a link where you can upload a launch log if your game generated one: (most don't when you can't get past the splash screen) http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=66487 @ Doc2daMAX, here is another link for uploading your dmp file: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=57714 I have no idea if anyone from Tripwire is still monitoring these threads, but it's worth a try. Redeye was closely involved in these threads for awhile, but it's been some time since he last posted. |

@ Player n Doc2daMAX: You guys need to post you specs first.
There's enought knowledgable ppl here with pc's n the game to fix most any problem. You need to work along with these guys to fix your problems launching n playing.Need more input from your end, What have you tried, did u update or roll back GPU drivers etc etc. Have u did anything that was suggested here?

I was referring to the two threads I posted links to.
Those threads are specific to the hang at splash screen issue, and crash issues. We were asked to keep these issues in those threads and post launch logs and dmp files respectively to make it easier for redeye to follow. The last post I see by redeye in those threads was May 31. Not a put down by any means as I have utmost respect for redeye and his efforts to resolve these issues .. just stating a fact. |

Sometimes I am lucky, and get a little crash-dump file to look at. So, here it is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> -<CrashRpt version="1300"> <CrashGUID>9d36707b-8481-43fc-ad8a-142a1bfb4b01</CrashGUID> <AppName>RedOrchestra2</AppName> <AppVersion>1.1.0.5</AppVersion> <ImageName>C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Red Orchestra 2\binaries\win32\rogame.exe</ImageName> <OperatingSystem>Windows 7 Home Premium Build 7601</OperatingSystem> <OSIs64Bit>1</OSIs64Bit> <GeoLocation>en-us</GeoLocation> <SystemTimeUTC>2012-07-08T04:09:46Z</SystemTimeUTC> <ExceptionType>7</ExceptionType> <GUIResourceCount>26</GUIResourceCount> <OpenHandleCount>1806</OpenHandleCount> <MemoryUsageKbytes>605592</MemoryUsageKbytes> -<CustomProps> <Prop value="Intel" name="CPU Manufacturer"/> <Prop value="INTEL Pentium-II" name="CPU Name"/> <Prop value="NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450" name="GPU"/> <Prop value="1" name="Hyperthreaded"/> <Prop value="4" name="NumLogicalProcessors"/> <Prop value="8" name="NumPhysicalProcessors"/> <Prop value="Windows 7" name="OS"/> <Prop value="64 bit" name="OS Architecture"/> <Prop value="7912 MB" name="PageFile"/> <Prop value="3957 MB" name="Physical Mem"/> <Prop value="3.88 GB" name="RAM"/> <Prop value="1024 MB" name="VRAM"/> <Prop value="8.17.13.142" name="Video Driver Version"/> <Prop value="4095 MB" name="Virtual Mem"/> </CustomProps> -<FileList> <FileItem name="Launch.log" error="The handle is invalid." description="Log File"/> <FileItem name="crashrpt.xml" description="Crash Description XML"/> <FileItem name="unreal-v7258-2012.07.08-00.08.47.dmp" description="Unreal DMP file"/> </FileList> Usually I don't even get this, and the program just fails to desktop with a 'rogame.exe has stopped working' message. My Operating System is as follows: Windows 7 64bit I-3 Dual Core Prossessor Nvidia 450 with updated drivers 4 GB of RAM Soundblaster Audigy Live Sound Card (old, but it works fine with all games so far) I don't exactly know how my system specs have anything to do with a common issue like this, but hey, it's out there for ya'll. |

I had the same problem. Start game then RO2 has stopped working. What i did to fix it is right click on the game in the steam list and go to properties. In the local files tab there is a button that says "Verify integrity of game cache". It will search through the game files and find any broken files. If any are broken it will re-download them and you should be good to go. This is how i fixed it anyway. Hope this works for you, it is a good game.
