Hi there,
first of all, welcome to the forums! What are your computer specs? Does the game crash spontaneously at the menu screen or when you want to start a game? I'm sure we'll find a solution for you. Cheers |

Some people are experiencing crashes/freezes at the main menu when PB is installed. They can run it though when doing a complete reinstall and skipping the PB installation step. But this does of course mean that they can only play on PB disabled servers.
Some more info can be found here and here. PS: Uninstalling PB after a fresh installation does for some reason not work for them. The only thing that seemed to worked was to completely skip the PB installation step.

It crashes right when I see the start up screen. I lose mouse control then the crash report screen pops up. the menu screen is not open long enough to even read it. going to the verify game cache screen says I am missing 1 file and it will be aquired. I have never seen it acutually download it. i sent punkbuster and ro2 with all associated files to the shredder. reinstalled ro2 none of the promts reappeared to reinstall pb or directx. launched ro2 crashed immediatly at menu again. yes i went to the document/my games delete.

Im wondering if your computer is adequate to run the game. Perhaps someone with more tech knowledge knows. Can you be even more specific regarding the video component? And is it a laptop or desktop computer? http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=54879

you really should answer the first question that was asked of you. it's really hard for anyone to help, without knowing what you're really trying to make the game work on.
just sayin. |

Maybe this http://majorgeeks.com/WhoCrashed_Fre...ion_d7442.html can help with diagnosis? I like to run this http://www.majorgeeks.com/Top_Proces...tor_d6945.html to see whats running, and this http://www.majorgeeks.com/System_Monitor_II_d6944.html for monitoring my RAM, temps etc, and this to monitor my graphics card for temps etc, and this http://www.majorgeeks.com/Advanced_S...e_3_d5927.html to keep my computer "clean" , and the built in RAM optimizer, and the "Turbo" mode while gaming, to disable unneeded processes/programs for best performance. OK, I won't bug you guys with this again, I am just trying to help. TWB*SlowBull
